My attempt at a full Rd 1 Mock.

1. Tampa Bay - Jameis Winston, QB Florida St.
2. Tennessee - Leonard Williams, DT USC
3. Jacksonville - Dante Fowler Jr., DE/OLB Florida
4. Oakland - Kevin White, WR West Virginia
5. Washington - Randy Gregory, OLB Nebraska
6. New York Jets - Amari Cooper, WR Alabama
7. Chicago - Vic Beasley, OLB Clemson
8. Atlanta - Shane Ray, OLB Missouri
9. New York Giants - Brandon Scherff, OT/OG Iowa
10. St. Louis - La'el Collins, OT/OG LSU
11. Minnesota - Trae Waynes, CB Michigan St.
12. Cleveland - Danny Shelton, DT Washington
13. New Orleans - Alvin Dupree, DE/OLB Kentucky
14. Miami - Devante Parker, WR Louisville
15. San Francisco - Arik Armstead, DE/DT Oregon
16. Houston - Dorial Green-Beckham, WR Oklahoma
17. San Diego - Melvin Gordon, RB Wisconsin
18. Kansas City - Andrus Peat, OT Stanford
19. Cleveland - Marcus Mariota, QB Oregon
20. Philadelphia - Jalen Strong, WR Arizona St.
21. Cincinnati - Marcus Peters, CB Washington
22. Pittsburgh - Malcom Brown, DT Texas
23. Detroit - Ereck Flowers, OT Miami
24. Arizona - Eli Harold, OLB Virginia
25. Carolina - Owamagbe Odighizuwa, DE UCLA
26. Baltimore - Cameron Erving, C Florida St.
27. Dallas - Todd Gurley, RB Georgia
28. Denver - Eddie Goldman, DT Florida St.
29. Indianapolis - Landon Collins, SS Alabama
30. Green Bay - Eric Kendricks, ILB UCLA
31. New Orleans - Kevin Johnson, CB Wake Forest
32. New England - Breshad Perriman, WR UCF

This is about how I think the draft will go. I'm not sold on Mariota and think the Jets will ultimately pass on him. I think he ends up in Cleveland at either 12 or 19 baring a trade. On a side note I really like this draft if I'm New Orleans.

Anyways, this is my 1st full rd 1 mock. I'm going to try to do another before the real draft. Let me know what you think.

Great Job on that draft, IMO Gurley falls off the board before Gordon and if so I take Goldman or Kevin Johnson.

I think Phily would trade up for Mariota if he falls that far.

Without a doubt. San Fran would love nothing more than to rob Chip of a haul of picks if Mariota falls that far.

I'm sure they would move up but I don't like to try to mock trades.

Hate too be captain obvious but mariota is going top 5.

I don't think its a given he goes top 6, and I definitely don't think he should. He needs 2+ years to sit and learn and that high in the draft he will be expected to start. I think he will end up being a bust if he's rushed in to a starting job when hes not ready. If he slips past the Jets at 6, he will probably be a Brown at 12 or 19 unless someone trades up.

Thanks for the effort.

I think that will be the big 1st round decision for us....take a top RB in the 1st (if one is there) when there are 8-10 really good ones that can be had in later rounds or take someone like
Kevin Johnson
Eddie Goldman
Kendricks
etc

I guess if you think Gurley is WAY better than those other 8-10 backs--and you think his injury is non-factor-- you probably take him.
Could be a tough call.

I don't think you can look at the draft like that....especially not the 1st round. You can't pass on superior talent just because there may or may not be good talent at the same position later. You have to take the best available talent when its presented. There's no doubt that Gurley is a much better overall prospect that the 3 you listed.

Besides, I could use your logic against you just as easily....

Why take Johnson in the 1st when guys like D'Juon Smith, Alex Carter, Ronald Darby and Steve Nelson will be available later?
Why take Goldman in the 1st when guys like Grady Jarrett, Gabe Wright, Marcus Hardison, Michael Bennet, and Xavier Cooper will be available later?
Why take Kendricks in the 1st when guys like Stephone Anthony, Denzel Perryman, Paul Dawson, and Kwon Alexander will be available later?

Ya it's tough too slot him in without a trade, TENN might just take him themselves.

Says you (regarding Gurley being clearly better). I just saw Goldman rated nearly 20 slots higher than Gurley on one site....not that I agree. But just saying, it is an eye of the beholder thing.

Of course you take the best player if they're a tier above.
My assumption was otherwise.....that If Gurley was in the same tier as some defensive studs.

Last year there were probably a million people who had Manziel tiered way above Martin.
Dallas...or least everyone but Jerry....did not.

all I have to say to your 1st paragraph is that whatever website that ranks Goldman 20 slots ahead of Gurley sucks. And I don't see how you're calling the other 3 defenders "studs" when there is a fairly easy argument that none are even top 2 at their positions (kendricks maybe).

A million fans wanted Manziel maybe...

My point was if a team had players grouped together and Gurley was in that group, there would be a dilemma.
I am and have always been in the camp that you never jump tiers just to fill a position. Get the best players. If value doest match need you at least attempt to trade down.

I like Gurley too.
But recall in 2008 that McFadden was a sure thing in a deep Rb class. He ended up up beingmaybe the 6th best RB production wise.

Know it alls get humbled real fast come draft day.
And no, im not calling you that.

Nice job. But I can't see Arizona not taking a RB in the 1st. They have Andre Ellington who rushed for 652 and 660 respectively. They've also been loud and clear that they want in on the AP sweepstakes. I could be wrong, but all roads scream RB for the Cards.

I agree with your assesment that Mariota should fall, but i doubt he does, and if he is there at #12, no way Cleveland passes on him there. I doubt they will wait till 19.

I could see them go either way honestly. The strength of the team is the Defense and they could use an edge rusher right now. The Cowboys and Cardinals were in similar situations before the Hardy signing I think. Both needed an Edge rusher and might have looked to the 2nd for the RB. Ultimately I think the Cowboys will move up or down from 27 to try and get the RB they want. If they want Gurley or Gordon, they might try to work a trade with Pittsburgh or Detroit. If they want a 2nd Rd RB, they may look to move up 10-12 spots in the 2nd and get Ajayi or Coleman. I think in the end, only one of SD and Arz go RB in rd 1, but theres the chance a team like Jax or Oak trade up to Baltimores slot and take the RB if ones there.
