Love your work LM,
What is your opinion of Mariota? It's really difficult to get an opportunity at the 1st
over pick. If Mariota is a franchise QB I take, period. Their too hard to get.

I thought I read Oakman is staying in Baylor.

I don't see any way TB would trade the top pick for Clev's 12 and 19th pick + Gordon. No way, and you have TB throwing in Jackson to boot. And Manziel's trade value is roughly a 6th rd pick in my opinion.

Tampa is not trading that pick. They arent set at QB and have tickets and hope to sell.

Agreed.

And if they do, they're going to get a lot more than #12 and #19 and swap receivers. Maybe if it was 12, 19, and Gordon without including Jackson, but, honestly, the red flags next to Gordon's name have pretty much killed any trade value he had.

I'm more of a Tevin Coleman that Gordon. I know it's not fair to lump all players from a college into one group, but I think the success of Wisconsin RB's may be more of a product of the OL than their ability.

I don't see Dallas going RB in the 1st.

What about Erick Flowers from Miami? McShay I think has him as the 3rd best OT.

Gotta give you credit for originality.......Cleveland trading up to #1.

Here is my twist on that.

Cleveland trades 1/12, 1/19, Manziel and Gordon

Cleveland gets 1/1 (Mariotta), and V. Jackson.

Lovie wanted Manziel last year....So that might be tempting to him. Plus Manziel has a history w/ Mike Evans.

If you look @ Tampa after that trade.....

QB-Manziel
RB-Martin/Simms
WR-Gordon
WR-Evans
TE-Seferian-Jenkins

Add a couple draft picks to the O-line...you might have something. I just don't know how Cleveland could possibly give up so much though. It's the Robert Griffin trade all over again....and that didn't really workout for Washington.

But If your Cleveland and think Manziel is gonna bust...You trade him while there is still speculation he can play.

I think the only reason Cleveland makes that deal is....you get your franchise QB. And in the procees get rid of some cancerous players that want out of Cleveland.....

http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/1...d-browns-owner-says-some-players-need-grow-up

Interesting trade idea nonetheless.

Could workout for both teams....or be a complete mess.

Gordon's value is toxic waste at this point. No one wants him. Cleveland most likely just dumps him. Manziel is not far behind and approaching garbage status. Manziel cannot run a pro offense. He is only good if his first read is there or the play breaks down and he improvises. No way any coordinator can work with that type of player in the pros, especially with a head case like Manziel who is more interested in parties and social media than football. Connor Shaw has more value than Manziel at this juncture. Tb is a mess but they aren't going to accept Cleveland's trash.

However, you make a good point about bringing back the Evans-Manziel connection. Problem is that Evans has shown that he can play even without Manziel. Manziel can't play without Evans, though.

where's DE Fowler? If that situation happens I would imagine we would jump on him quickly but I suspect he's going top 20

If that was the case, I'd take the RT tackle from ND, Ronnie Stanley, then immediately trade up in in 2nd to get Dante Fowler. Oakman is going back to school.
