Comp pick after Sensabaugh sings a mega deal w/ someone else this year  :

Sensy isn't getting signed in a weeks time and that comp pick wouldn't exist for this draft.

Ingram was drafted by both the Patriots and the Packers.

I wish we could trad up both of our 1st and 2nd rounders if need be but I doubt that happens.

Peterson and Sherrod would be awesome though. Both would be big time players for us.

Those are 2012 picks.

You guys are relentless. What about all the times I didnt give the same player to two different teams? Hmmm? You dont bring those picks up.

Thought so

I like the Peterson and Sherrod picks. Said that in the previous post. Rather have quality than quantity.

You can't trade away a 2012 pick that has not been awarded yet for a player who may sign with another team. We would only know the compensatory picks we get, if we get them, way after this draft.

So it's impossible to make a trade including that hypothetical pick. That's all that's being said man. Relax bro.

cant trade comp picks

I was joking. I clearly put a 4th rounder twice by accident.

Mark Ingram getting drafted twice on the other hand.....that I think will happen. Calling it now.

The thing I'm struggling with on this Peterson scenario is the Browns' 6th pick. If Peterson makes it to 6, the Browns have to be willing to trade down, which assumes they don't covet him like we do and are targeting another player/position.

The Skins wouldn't take Peterson over Jones. And if Jones is gone, I'm reading from multiple sources that they like Watt.

The Titans have pressing needs beyond CB and their interest in Locker at 8 (regardless of who else is on the board) seems genuine, per Rob Rang.

Obviously, we can't account for another team leapfrogging into pick 6-8 to snag Peterson. But if the teams that actually own those picks are said to be coveting players in Locker and Watt that aren't even consensus top 10 picks, can they really risk trading too far back?

This is the same high-stakes poker as any other year. But between the combination of the CBA and its impact on QB position, the huge drop-off after the top two WR, and the lack of consensus around the top 10 players, this could get crazy.

If Peterson makes it to Cleveland at 6, why wouldn't Dallas keep their picks and roll the dice that he makes it to 9?

You are forgetting the only team that actually matters in all of this..the niners (#7) and there is 0 chance Peterson gets past them

I dont think there is any possible way he makes it to 9, especially with San Fran sitting at 7 with a big CB need. If Dallas want Peterson, they will have to trade up. Even if he falls to the Titans, the Texans who had a horrible secondary would most likely jump in front of Dallas to grab him or even Detroit.

Well, I wasn't forgetting the Niners, I was rolling with the trade in this mock that had them swapping with the Skins. But I agree, that trade doesn't happen unless we move to 6 or Peterson is already gone.
