1st round pick for OG would be a waste

Spending yet another 1st round pick on the Oline is a waste of resources. The 1st & 2nd round picks need to be spent on defense. If the Cowboys can trade back, and get another pick in the first 2 rounds, that would be ideal. They can also use a combination of their later round picks to move up in the draft.

But the 1st and 2nd round picks should be spent on defense - specifically for Safety, Defensive Tackle and Linebacker - unless they somehow resign Hitchens, which is unlikely.

The Cowboys have 3 picks in rounds 3 & 4, and 4 picks in rounds 5 & 6. They can combine those picks to trade up, if necessary, to get the Olinemen they want.

Let's just suppose that Denver signs Cousins at QB, and the Browns, Jets and Cardinals draft QB's. One of the top 4 QB's drops to the Cowboys at #19. Minnesota needs to trade up ahead of Buffalo to get a QB. Minnesota could offer picks 30 & 62. But Buffalo may counter with an offer to move back only 2 spots to #21, and the Cowboys could pick up pick 96.

1st Rd pick on Isaiah Wynn is a home-run.
day1 starter...can play OT if needed...OL fortified.
gives Dak a clean picket...get back to our identity...runnin' Zeke right down their pie-holes.
Thats a win.
Thats smart.

If the best player available at 19 is OL, draft him.
1st round pick is an investment for the future & a foundational player for the subsequent years of the team -- regardless of the current roster.

Or we could end up with another Taco? [Yes, jury is still out, still young and can grow. But I don’t think anything more than a role player]

Just stay bpa

You don't draft for need. #1 on the list on how not to draft.
If your BPA barely improves the team, then your philosophy becomes irrelevant. BPA at PON, and OG is barely a need because of the resources already allocated to rest of the line.

We need a dominant unit upfront to compensate for Garett and Linehan (and an average QB). I’m fine with Wynn or Hernandez at 19
If we need that then we need to see if we can draft a New Coaching staff in the 1st round. Not a Guard

who is this OG we already have?

That’s sad and depressing, yet true. I still don’t want to do it even if it resulted in playoffs and a playoff win. Those two suck and need to go.

They had that in 2016 and what good did it do for the team in the playoffs? At some point the defense needs to be addressed correctly, and a legit pass rush would also help the offense.

I just don't see Wynn or Hernandez being good enough to be BPA at 19 anyways

Nelson is beast
