Anyone hear how much the 1st team O and D will play tomorrow?

Hopefully someone around here knows. Cannot wait for kickoff tomorrow.

A lot of teams around the league have been playing their starters for a good portion of the first half... wouldn't be surprised to see our starters play well into the 2nd quarter.

Most teams seem to be playing their starters for a half. Hopefully we do the same.

I would think Garrett would. We do need to see some crisp execution both offensively and defensively.

The Chargers will be a good test.

I saw somewhere that JG said he doesn't know for sure - they will go into the second quarter but hasn't decided how deep.

Most teams last week played their starters for a full quarter, was pretty surprised that JG just had them in for 1 series considering the lockout and short TC.

Sounds like he still isn't going to have them out there long. I wish the starters would play the entire game the next three. Be in midseason form week 1.

I def think they should play the whole first half, lets see what Tree and the new Gs can do with the first team.

And the D def needs time to get accustomed to Ryan's system.

I know this year is a different case. But the second preseason game usually has the starters play the entire 1st and a bit of the 2nd, right? The third usually has the starters play the entire 1st half.

Yes and the 3rd game they play the whole first half and they also play into the 3rd quarter - team vary how far into the 3rd they play, some teams go the full 3 quarters.

About mid week when JG was asked this ?. He said most likely as long as the Chargers left their starters in.

So did Norv say the same thing, and it will be....wonder when they are going to start pulling them....:laugh2:

Good old Mexican Standoff :D

Just watched a vid by Calvin Watins and he mentioned that Garrett said the 1st team O and D might play into the 2nd quarter.

Quarterback Tony Romo and the regulars will play at least a quarter, if not more. It will be Romo's longest stint since suffering a fractured clavicle last October, forcing him to miss the final 10 games of 2010. "I can't guarantee you a play number or a time in the game when they're coming out, but we anticipate them playing longer," coach Jason Garrett said. "Hopefully into the second quarter, maybe double the snaps."

It varied a ton for week 1. Generally the more veteran teams played very little and the younger teams played more. NE didn't even have Brady dress for the game.
