1st unit DL play, outstanding

I know much has been made about the DL especially the DT spots but I was impressed how the line show great penetration and was stuffing the run last night. Guys need to keep it up

The DL is only as good as stopping the best running backs and number of sacks. The first string will run into better OL and RBs in future games. The fourth quarter was a disaster on the DL as SF ran though it like hot butter though a goose.

Our 1st string D line rotation is pretty young for the most part. Will be interesting to watch their improvement too.

Just game one of the pre season not getting ahead of myself but that starting OL of the 9ers have some quality players on it. As for 4th qrt I agree but then many guys playing 4th qrt are guys who will be hard pressed to make the team. My focus on pre season is 1st and 2nd units, beyond that the rest are guys trying to make a team.

Just sad that Irving isn't there with them. He's a special player and he just hurt his team badly.

I agree I hope he gets his act together. Honestly last 2 season he misses 4 games to start the season, if this continues I would cut him. Dallas has to start holding these guys accountable. I believe in 2nd chances well he blew the 2nd chance by once again letting this team down. If he comes back I hope he does play great but another suspension and I would cut him if it where my call to make.

Most of those guys are not making the team. Most of the guys playing the 4th quarter are not making the team.

I am excited to get Collins back and if Woods can keep up his play, I would just like to see us move Collins back to the 3. He looked like a potential pro-bowler there his rookie year. I just don't think we can rely on Irving to be the future at the 3.

I don't know but can say I'm tired of problem players screwing this team over. Dallas need to deal with this BS better because the yearly suspension are a joke. He does I hope he gets his act together or quit either is fine with me

Same here, I love Irving's upside but if he isn't on the team you could still get a lot of production at 3T from Collins, Jihad Ward and Tyrone Crawford. (I think Taco starts at LDE with Crawford backing up that spot and 3T).

The defensive front showed some gumption...and there really is a top shelf look potentially as well:

If these two defensive linemen can make their way back in good form, the starting line-up in the back-half of the 2018 season can potentially be DeMarcus Lawrence at left end, Irving at the three-technique, and Gregory at right defensive end. This would give the team three Pro-Bowl caliber players along the line going into a 2019 draft filled with one technique studs in the top 100 picks.

If these secret weapons materialize, expect the team to wreak havoc on opposing quarterbacks for years to come.

He knows the system so he should be ready to go when he gets back. If he isn’t in shape then I will have a hard time picking him up cheap again next year.
