2-2 going into our bye week and 1 game out of first place and no divisional loses.

All this with a QB with broke ribs and a injured lung, Miles Austin out for 2 games and gimpy for one, Dez out for one game and gimpy for 3. Newman out for 2 games. Jenkins in and out gimpy for 4 games. Hatcher who was playing great out for 3 games.

After the bye we should get almost everybody back and close to healthy.

We are in a good place.

I still have faith in Garrett, Rob, and Romo.

You stop it, you kool-aid drinking, sunshine pumping, homer glasses-wearing, Jerry-enabling, non-realist fan!!!

Haven't you been reading the threads!? The season is OVER! That's the popular post trend, and you come in here all optimistic and making good points and reasons to be excited moving forward.

It will be a good judgement of "Some" players with everyone back healthy. I do hope they are successful. I just need to see it. Definately a different team when Austin and Bryant are out there.

Gonna be a LONG two weeks.

I agree with OP with regards to our record.

There is absolutely no reason to panic with a 2-2 record. I have been a member of this board for a very long time and it always a head-scratcher to see people make the same mistakes year after year, which is panicking way too early in the season because we suffered a bad loss.

However, I have really never had faith in Jason Garrett. I have always felt, he, along with Terrell Owens and Wade Phillips were problems in Dallas.

We are still in a good position and the Season is very earlier.

You guy watch, some of the teams the media is in love with will slide and the teams that the media is down on will get on a roll. It happens every year.

Great post. I can't wait to see our offense with Austin and Dez healthy... not to mention felix.

if you thought Romo was playing before, watch how well he plays after tasting this... Especially against that patriots secondary and their line can get pressure...

I'm with you on that. Hate to lose games like yesterday and the thought of this team should be 4-0 and not 2-2 is painful.

There were a lot of things I liked about yesterday of course most will not care to hear about any positives (understandable) and I think this bye week will be a blessing both physically and mentally for this team

The only reason I am not in full panic mode right now is because our schedule after NE gets a lot easier. We have a chance to be 7-4 or with some good fortune 8-3 after the Thanksgiving game. If that happens, that leaves the last 5 games to go 3-2 or 2-3 or with again good fortune 4-1. We can set ourselves up real nicely with the games through Thanksgiving and give ourselves a chance to get into the playoffs or win the division in December/January.

as down as I am today, i agree with a lot of what you are saying

this team has everything needed to suceed

2 people, romo and garret really have to look in the mirror over this bye week, hold themselves accountable to themselves, and really learn

if that happens, i still have faith that we can pull this out

Got to admit seeing Philly lose to san fran to drop to 1-3 took a little sting out of yesterdays loss. Not much but some.

In the grand scheme of things, given the way the division is shaping up, we're definitely still in it.

I think people are just bummed out how we lost that game. How great would it have been to go 3-1 and bring the Lions back down to earth, meanwhile keeping a firm grasp on the division?

Hopefully we're ready for NE after the BYE.

I want that two weeks to be as long as possible. more healthy people back....more work learning the D...more work for the young O line, who BTW did a pretty fair job yesterday.

Yeah, and the Falcons were sooooo close to imploding to the....gulp....Seahags!

Exactly - this team could be 0-4, 4-0, or anywhere in between based on it's play. We're 2-2 and the presumptive division winner is one game back of us. We get a chance to lick our wounds and get healthy, and take stock of what needs correcting.

Ask yourself, would you rather be living through this season, or last one? Exactly.

Ask me 2 weeks ago with all the injuries mounting up if i'd take 2-2 going into the bye and i'd be more then happy with that, hell ask me before the game yesterday and i'd be pretty happy going 2-2 heading into the bye week.

But, it's the way we lose. Biggest collapse in franchise history and the majority of the blame falls right back on the same player that did the same thing in week 1. It doesn't exactly inspire confidence in this team going forward to see this kind of stuff

Anyone right now who thinks they can predict the NFL must be high. Sooner or later things will take shape and a clearer picture will form but right now this is season is all over the place.

Meantime Cowboys need to do some soul searching if they expect to get themselves in the big picture. I think we have the physical talent but we have to bring the mental part of the game if we expect to contend.

Many of my fellow fans seem to be close to throwing in the towel but I also think many allow today’s emotion to overtake them.

I dont see us winning @ne.we will put up points but wont contain brady.

We are in fine position at 2-2 at this point in the year, that is not what most people are upset about. The record is fine, the manner in which we got those 2 loses however, is worthy of concern.

It doesn't have to be one extreme or the other. This reminds me a lot of teams past, capable of playing with anyone. If we were playing the Packers tomorrow, it would be not surprising at all to see us beat them and then the following week lose to the Chiefs. It's crazy.

True how they are losing is a concern.

That has to change

I am actually not disappointed with the record right now. We stole one game at SF and gave this one away. It just pains me to realize that we do not have the QB to win the SB. I thought Romo was and has defended him for the past four years. But no more.

Yes, we might squeeze into playoff, but anyone here think we can win four in a row while playing against Aaron Rodgers/Drew Brees/Brady/Ravesn/Steelers?
