It's Amazing to this 1 Zoner, after rewatching all 4 games, how close this team is to 4-0 despite not playing well in arguably 8 or 9 out of 16 quarters thus far.

ADDENDUM:

I mean, literally 2 plays either way, and the Cowboys win in Denver and in the home opener.

Good luck amigo. I have a feeling you are going to need it.

doesn't that frustrate you? why can't this team put it "together" for a solid 60 minutes one day out of the week?

That almost is more concerning to me than it is pleasing, though, given our recent history of being a sloppy team that can't finish games. To me it looks like more of the same than it does "Holy cow, look how close we are." We really haven't played much good football this season.

Now, you never know when the light clicks on. It does so at a surprising time sometimes -- and it'll certainly be surprising if that occurs under this coaching staff.

That's all good and all, but you still play the win the games. We should be 4-0, but because of own mistakes, we have ourselves in a hole. One game can be the difference between staying home and going to the playoffs. Every game is important and we can't afford to lose games that we should have won.

We're closer to 0-4 than 4-0. We're luck to be 2-2. While you can bring up a few plays here and there that make us 4-0 if they go our way, you can find just about the same few number of plays that easily make us 0-4 if they don't go our way in the 2 games we won.

As much as I agree, you'll get a lot of crap from people who go ape **** about what ifs. In other news, your sig's awesome. Aaron Watson's the man.

Oh, I am sure it's unpopular and too optimistic for some to stomach, but the 4th quarter of the Minnesota Preseason finale showed me that the 2009 Cowboys are a solidified team built to get through adversity unlike last year.

The veterans/starters coaching up and cheering on the 3rd and 4th string players playin' instead of playing grab ***.

You can make the same statement going all the way back to the Seattle slip. This team consistently blows games like this. They expect to blow it. There is no such thing as a moral victory from a loss in the NFL.

thats funny because most of those guys aren't even on this roster anymore.
oh noes! did we cut the wrong players!?!?!?

How do you figure that?

Our combined points margin in the 2 wins = +27
Our combined points margin in the 2 losses = -10

It's better to win convincingly than to lose unconvincingly.

I agree with you in principle, but I do think there are exceptions. The 1994 NFC Championship game against the 49ers is one such. The Super Bowl V loss to the Colts is another. I do think there are times when a loss so aggravates a team that it motivates them.

Wish we could find one of those.

Just do what I do and just try to keep your cool until they are out of the playoff race officially.

They may finish the season 14-2 and we spent this entire week being bummed for nothing.

Or if they finish 2-14 i'll have to break some of the rules the cowboyszone has set :) .

Bitterness is such a powerful cloud. I'm sorry, but that is ridiculous.

I think that quote was stolen from Marvel Comics' Obvious Man series

Sure does. There is a bit of positive spin control needed amongst the masses here, because this team can turn the corner - I believe.
