2-2

That's great and I understand what the OP is feeling but we're not 4-0. We're 2-2 and it doesn't matter that 'if we'd done this or that' we'd be 4-0. The fact is we didn't and we're not.

Perhaps, but it may be just as useless as cussing Romo and Garrett and Jerry and whoever.

LOL

Your slowly talking me into good thoughts.

but still, as of right now

My heart is 100% positive

and my head is about 90% negative, the other 10% of my head is empty...in case you were wondering.

I just cant shake all the losing when we shouldnt have for 5 years now out of my head. I hope this is the season they find a way to shake it off.

That's part of the problem. We can talk about Romo being inaccurate, the secondary being soft, etc. but it all boils down to the fact that we are inconsistant and there's no magic pill for that.

We're closer to 0-4 than 4-0. We're luck to be 2-2. While you can bring up a few plays here and there that make us 4-0 if they go our way, you can find just about the same few number of plays that easily make us 0-4 if they don't go our way in the 2 games we won.
The way I see it, we are closer to 4-0 than 0-4. It's the fact that we aren't 4-0 that is frustrating, and it's because of our own errors that we are not.

These last two years have been the worse, at least with the Campo yrs we knew things were gonna be shaky. But being champs on paper is the worse when it falls way short.

lol, yeah. And we were a bobbled snap away from our first playoff win in years. and we were a dropped crayton pass away from our eliminating of the giants in the playoffs, and brady was one ******** eli manning pass to the helmet of some moron, to becoming a football god. and buffallo was 4 games away from being 4-0 in superbowls.

can the logic for how bad we are get any worse?

Bitterness is such a powerful cloud. I'm sorry, but that is ridiculous.

Fine, we're closer to 1-3. That make you feel better? Fact is, that Carolina game coiuld easily have gone the other way. The only team we had a real handle on beating was Tampa in week 1.

That's a fact, which makes these cowboys pathetic! So yeah, I'm bitter. :laugh2:

Here is some interesting trivia regarding close losses during a season and the Cowboys.

The 2000 5-11 team lost 5 games by a combined 19 points. That means they were 24 points shy, thats 3 TDs and a FG, from being 10-6.

That 2001 5-11 team was 29 points from being 10-6.

The 2002 5-11 team was 21 points from being 10-6. That means they lost 5 games by 16 points.

Anybody believe those teams were 10-6, talent-wise?

I have to disagree. I think 05 was the worst.

We lost games to washington, seattle, oakland and denver we had no business losing.

We lost to seattle, washington and denver simply because we couldnt make a field goal. Because of that, in each game we lost late because we didnt have a large enough lead.

that season still grinds on me. We should have won 11 or 12 games.

then 06 it popped up again. Now the same types of things seem to be happening.

I still enjoy listening to the radio calls of the 05 season and watching those games.

I just watched all 4 games on the DVR, and I think things aren't where they need to be, and that's frustrating, but there's enough that I know will be better - Ware's rush, Romo in the passing game, Bennett, Roy 11, etc.
that I can easily see this team 5-2 going to Philly.

wow. Careful, you will end up like me if you keep that activity up.

I am hoping. Like we talked about, find a way this sunday, steal the atlanta game and we will be right back in it.

then we have to steal a game we shouldnt win somewhere to make up for the broncos game. At philly, ny or new orleans. We are going to have to get at least 1 out of three.

I agree with you in principle, but I do think there are exceptions. The 1994 NFC Championship game against the 49ers is one such. The Super Bowl V loss to the Colts is another. I do think there are times when a loss so aggravates a team that it motivates them.

Wish we could find one of those.

I think we already found one in last week's last minute loss. The players are probably pissed, as they should be.

Its like Parcells always said when he was here, "maybe if the team was better than they wouldnt be 3 or 4 plays away."

That is the difference between the good teams and the mediocre teams. The good teams find ways to win, the mediocre teams put in their programs how they lost X games by only X points.

Winners win and losers say what if.................

if closing down Texas Stadium, 44-6 or Opening Cowboys stadium won't do it, you may not want to get to eager to search ofr it

OK, so explain how we could have lost the Carolina game.

They crossed our 40-yard line only twice in the entire game. They scored a touchdown on one of those, and the other came in the final 90 seconds, when we were ahead by 14 points and they were going for it on fourth down against a prevent defense and still couldn't score. They never came close to scoring any other time.

We missed a field goal, settled for field goals twice from inside the 5 and had two other possessions that ended inside the 40 without scoring.

It was a lot closer to being a 31-7 game than it was to being a Carolina win.

We are what our record says we are, a .500 ball club.

All this talk of if this play was different or if that play was different or if it wasnt for a fluke bounce, or if the ref had called a penalty, ect......it is all loser talk.

Winners find a way to get the job done and losers talk about "what if".

It's Amazing to this 1 Zoner, after rewatching all 4 games, how close this team is to 4-0 despite not playing well in arguably 8 or 9 out of 16 quarters thus far.

ADDENDUM:

I mean, literally 2 plays either way, and the Cowboys win in Denver and in the home opener.

Congrats to you. Adam would be proud of your statistical prowess.
