1st- Myles Jack LB UCLA- I'm sticking with Jack for now. The idea of having a possible Brian Urlacher in the middle of our D is too enticing for me. Jack brings versatility and playmaking to a D that is severely lacking in both categories. Our Nickle D with Lee, Jack, and Byron would be incredible.

2nd- Josh Doctson WR TCU- Not going to be the biggest or fastest WR but he flat out makes play. Uses his long arms and height to high point the ball and snatch it out of the air before the small cb has a chance to make a play on the ball. Fluid athlete with great body control to make catches in a huge radius. Soft hands and catches everything. Would bring a different dimension to the offense that TWIll just can't.

3rd- Adolphis Washington DT Ohio State- 6'4 297 pound with the frame to keep packing on weight. Good enough burst to beat guards inside and shows a good swim move that consistently gets him in the backfield. Long 34" arms that he uses well to keep o lineman off of him. Versatile and can play both the 1 and 3 tech for us.

4th- Jordan Howard RB Indiana- Love watching a RB that consistently hits defenders before they hit him. Howard is a big back at 6'1 225 with good vision and enough speed to break off big chunks. Averaged a ridiculous 6.2 YPC in his 1st year in the Big 10. Not the flashiest back but he's got 4+ YPC written all over him every year.

Comp- Eric Murray CB Minnesota- Tough, physical corner with a never quit attitude. Probably won't test as an elite athlete and he isn't 6'+ but I see him as good enough in all categories. His aggressiveness causes him to get "handsy" but if he can cut that down he has starter potential.

6th- Kyle Friend G Temple- Gotta keep adding pieces to the line...Friend is a 4 year starter with the kind of toughness and smarts the coaching staff will love. Can play either G or C so would be a valuable backup.

Comp- TJ Green S Clemson- Why did Green go pro this year? Who knows, but there is definitely potential here in a late round pick. He was a lightly recruited WR out of HS who didn't make the change to D until his sophomore year. To his credit he was the 2nd leading tackler on a great clemson team this year, but he clearly isn't ready to play the S position in the NFL yet. He's a project but worth the risk.

Actually like this mock. Washington may end up higher than 3rd but if you could get him there, great. I also like Howard and Prosise as TBs to invest in say in the 4th or later. Howard seems to be the surer pick whereas Prosise might have the higher ceiling.

If we coupled your draft with some key defensive signings (vet CB, safety for Jones), I think this would be a great offseason.

Howard was a beast last season replacing Tevin Coleman. He would be a great addition if we missed out on Derrick Henry or Alex Collins.
I am fairly certain Elliott will not be a Cowboy and it pains me to say that.

Oh. One more thing.
I was just reading the updated mock at walterfootball a few minutes ago. He had the Cowboys taking Braxton Miller in the 2nd with Doctson still on the board. I think I would take Doctson over Miller.

Miller is going to rocket up boards based on his Senior Bowl performance and then how he tests.

I am still a bit weary of him as he's still going to need work as a WR.

That Walter mock is weird. He has Eli Apple going 53rd, which is unlikely. He has Nick Martin from ND going before Will Fuller. He has Dodd going before Shaq Lawson in the 2nd round.

I cry whenever i see a wr drafted early in these mocks. Doctson wouldnt even play this year. No, he wont be better than Williams in year 1.

Miller is for sure a better athlete and may even have higher potential, but Doctson is a much better WR right now. It's not like our coaching staff would be able to use Miller to his full potential anyway.

Doctson has started to catch my attention. Who would you say he compares to in the league tm1119?

The idea of having a possible Brian Urlacher in the middle of our D is too enticing for me

you do realize that Urlacher was Height: 6-4 Weight: 258 lbs

*Myles Jack 6-1 245 - I play opposite Lee - Jack will get Jacked up at MLB

I take Joshua Perry 6 -4 #255 in the 2nd

But he was the unsung hero of the Buckeyes' defense in 2014, leading the team with 124 total tackles (32 tackles more than the second leading tackler).

Yeah 6-1 245 linebackers never succeeded at mlb. Smh go look up Kwon Alexander. Stop comparing people to the biggest mlb ever. Jack is light years better than Perry

I like this draft. I like Tyler Boyd better in the second, but Doctson is my 2b.

Urlacher didn't come into the league anywhere near 258...height on a LB is really the least of my worries anyway. But are you really saying 6'1 245 isn't big enough to play LB? It's not the 70's anymore, LB's have to be able to run and cover more than anything nowadays. Speed, coverage ability, and blitzing are the 3 most important things you need a LB to do and Jack excels in all 3 areas.

Hmmm...maybe Marvin Jones minus the injury? Idk, that might be selling him a little short on his ceiling though

Would be a great draft haul. Myles Jack is special.

I would like to see a QB drafted at some point though, I'm a Dak Prescott fan in the mid rounds if we're planning in bringing in a developmental guy .
