An interesting plan would be to have a 2 back set w/ Jones & Barber. This would create havoc for defenses. The pass threat would still be there w/ Whitten ,Glenn , & the player. They are using Fasano in two tight ends which could be varied up to maybe use a percentage less to maximize the double threat at running back. It would be unstoppable,if it didn't work it could be scrapped but for sure worth a try.

Both are OK as pass catching threats. There's only so many places you can go with the ball in terms of the run. The guards usually give up the play.

If either of them was a more dynamic player as a receiver, you could put one in the slot, but at this point, it's more effective to bring in Crayton as the 3rd guy since he's so sure handed

I agree. I like seeing Dallas mixing formations on offense. Using 2 TE sets, 3 WR sets and 2 back sets. Give the other team a lot of different things to think about.

They seem to be doing more and more of that type of stuff lately as Fasano, Witten and Barber all are capable of lining up at WR and making plays.

I like the current setup. One thing I wonder, though - is what we're planning when we empty the backfield and have JJ or barber split out wide. They never get the ball, but I'm very interested in seeing what wrinkle we have planned there.

This goes along with what I was sayig before. We have plenty of wrinkles in our offense already. I just don't see any reason to keep adding more. Adding a few more wrinkles in terms of specific plays is one thing, but adding entirely new sets is another. We already go with "I" formations with a true FB, single RB sets, 2 TE sets - sometimes using one as a blocker in the backfield, no RB sets with either extra receivers or splitting Barber out wide, 3 WR sets ....... variety is not a problem for us.

True, but you have to tackle both of them differently (i.e., take different angles and speed), so it would be interesting to see it in the mix.

Methinks they have a slip screen planned for the RB who flanks out. That, or its just a read the defense set up where they allow Romo to call the play, or call his own number on a QB draw.

I would rather talk about the defense anyway. Wear, Speers, Kanty, Gnuman and Jaymes are really good players.

I would love to see this formation.
Mainly for the dual threat of pass and run especially screens and draws.
I think we will see more of the defense the Colts used against us. They had good pressure with the ends and blitzed the middle trying to box Romo and the running game.
The two RB formation could spring a big play if teams continue to attack us with this style defense.

sorry for the misspelling. There are those words you continually misspell. This is one for me.

I still think the two back set would be a good variation to use. Think about it. You don't know which back gets the ball. While the defense is concerned about that. You have three good players receiving w/ Romo. The potential has no ceiling.
