Coach Joe wants too much face time, wouldn't work. LOL

Mine is Hudson Houck
You must be joking....Houck was definitely too well respected and popular to work on Parcells' staff. There are reasons why no one is allowed to talk to the media but Parcells...he may be a great coach, but he's clearly an egomaniac.

Houck was gone pre-Parcells, if you remember, he was a victim of Bruce Coslet's arrival here. As a replacement for Houck that year we were "rewarded" with Frank Verducci, who rivals Sparano as possibly the most overwhelmed O-Line coach in franchise history.

You know, there's been a lot of Parcells bashing going on the last few days....

And I've been in on a lot of it.....

But there's something I just don't understand....

Maybe a "Parcells Guy" can step up and set me straight...

I can understand letting loose the highly paid long snapper. I can understand wanting to bring in your boys at OL coach (although is Sparano really qualified?), Special teams coach, and everywhere else.... that's a head coach's prerogative (sp?, who cares.).

But Hoffman? Explain this to me. Hoffman was an extra. An add-on. Jerry Jones fluff. Lavish spending. Does any other team even have a coach just for the kickers? And this guy was darn good at it. But Egomaniac out of the blue decides he doesn't want him around? Was he trying to save some of Jerry's money... and justify his own salary?

Please someone remind the coaching legend of that stupid decision and the kicking failures this team has had this season.

I don't know if you can coach Cundiff, he's not very good.

I agree he stinks.

But he had only missed 3 Fg's under 40 yards in 38 attempts in his career coming in to this season...

He's already missed 2 in 5 this year...

Not to mention Cortez.

Hoffman made something out of nothing every year for a long time, and I think our kicking situation would be better, I know it would, if he were around.

Since BP loves old guys, these are the kind to get. These kickers kick into their 60's.

Was sorry to see Hoffman go, but had no problem with Joe A. being fired. His STs were not good at all the last 2 years he was in Dallas; also some were complaining that he has spending too much time on concentrating on other things (musical career) and not coming up with way to fix our STs. In fact I seem to recall there was sentiment that he had been in Dallas too long and it was time for him to go.

Trip, to add to the end of your post, I would've thought that at least if you were going to cut ties w/ Hoffman, then that would be the year you brought someone in to kick who wasn't bargain basement and who therefore didn't need a specialized coach around him all the time.

I agree on Hoffman but not Avezanno.

BP had this team playing it's best Special Teams ever last year.
