Pretty disciplined play for sure. Though I have seen players getting away with ridiculous calls (Mostly holding) in the Preseason.

You know, everyone keeps saying that- rightfully so..but in recent years issues we have in preseason (not finding the endzone, penalties, mental errors) seem to ALWAYS follow us into the regular season. Hopefully it works both ways...

In the 4 games, something like 241 offensive plays, Dallas has just one delay of game penalty (on Tanney). I think having somebody upstairs just for playcalling will make a big difference. Garrett can focus on wrangling in players, getting coaches to do things, getting on refs, etc w/o wasting anytime before the next play.

I think Dallas does have 7 false starts in those 241 plays though and it's mostly been Doug Free. But it still looks like an improvement (so far...in preseason)

I'm using ESPN.com's play-by-play so stats could be off, but as far as pre-snap penalties go I found these. I guess my "mostly on Free" = 2.(seemed like more when I first flipped through the page)

Seems right, Free still averaging a false start every other game. Glad to see some things never change lol
