DE:
I no longer think Jason Hatcher has a spot locked up. Derrick Robinson has now put together two solid performances and is a player Wade brought in because he was familiar with and liked what he could do. I think this race is a little tighter then anyone thinks.

LB:
Steve Octavien is going to take a roster spot at the cost of one of the Rookies. Two games in a row this guy has been all over the field when given a chance.

WR:
1. Roy Williams
2. Patrick Crayton
3. Sam Hurd
4. Miles Austin
5. Kevin Ogletree

The race is not even close. Stanback is playing his final games.

S:
Pat Watkins and Courtney Brown are going to be sent packing.

Hamlin, Hamlin, Sensenbaugh and Smith keep jobs

CB:
Scandrick will beat out Jenkins for RCB but Jenkins will take over the spot my mid season.

OG:
Ryan Gibbons makes the squad costing Holland or Proctor their jobs

FB/TE:
Deon Anderson's injury allows Rodney Hannah to start the season on the active roster.

Just some of my thoughts......

Can Gibbons play center? If not, he's not on the team. I think only Proctor has center experience, he's more a center than a guard.

Gibbons could easily replace Holland as cheaper option and is actually playing better at this point.

I think I heard on the Lunch Break the other day that Gibbons can play every position on the line.

Lol. Someone thinks Robinson is a threat to Hatcher's spot. Did you not notice that he and Seawright only came into the game with about 4 minutes left in the 4th quarter:rolleyes:

It would be a huge upset if Hatcher didnt make it. Hasnt shown much but I'd be real suprised.

Brandon Williams developing Stanbackitis.

No Arguement. Send us a post card from South Beach Isiah.

Toughest call of all. Still think Holland makes it. Proctor really cant play center so what good is he?

If Scandrick wins job....I think he keeps it. Jenkins is too sporatic...hopefully he can replace Newman on the other side since Newman can't stay healthy for a full season anymore.

If Stanback had been healthy, he mighta had the chance to command the confidence of the QBs and gotten thrown at over days and weeks. At this point, he's on the outside looking in ... Romo and Kitna have confidence throwing at Ogletree and so Ogletree gets more throws, gets more chances etc. ... It comes from being in practice every day and catching nearly every ball thrown your way ... if you are a QB you throw more balls his way. I don't know if Ogletree gets much separation or is as explosive as Stanback, but he manages to make catches even though DBs are draped over him.

Octavien is my pet cat, for sure. He plays so fast and has such a mean attitude. Really, the only negative you can find on the guy is his height.

There have been so many LB's make it even though they are too short, and I think he's going to be another success story.

I really hope the coaches let him make the 53 even if they have to let go of a draft pick... so far he deserves it. Nobody has given the guy a chance to make the team and he is starting to make people take notice.

Let's just hope he keeps up the good work and makes the decision for the coaches.

James Harrison is only 6' too

Octavien is also a terror on special teams

Hey, at least you knew he was in there. You cant even recall when Hatcher was on the field.

Hatcher got some reps with the first team D and hit the QB twice in the game that I recall. Hitting the QB against 1st and 2nd teamersa > pressure against 3rd teamers. Don't get carried away, he's a pretty good DE.

I'm also surprised we aint calling for Siavii to get cut this morning:rolleyes:

I would like to know when so I can watch it again if that's the case.

i think after the first game of the season when the veteran free agents contracts are not counted for a whole year we need a veteran safety. smith is not ready for starting job or backup if one of our starters go down. we need a veteran corner. after our big three we have nothing. also gibbons as someone stated above would be a cheaper option also plays special teams better. i also have a problem with keeping two kickers still. it is going to cost us a young player like maybe a linebacker or a wr that we could keep who would play special teams.

also we could save a roster spot by putting bradon williams the texas teck lb on ir or on the pup list and save him for midseason. that would by us time to sign a veteran linebacker or db.

crosslin has a better shot than hannah imo. i agree with octavien. i think they need to put b will on IR instead of cutting him or butler.

At the 8:58 mark of the 3rd quarter was one, on the play where Jenkins made up to break the pass intended for Brit.

I wonder if people will NOW believe he was a reach. Or, is it still too early to tell?

Yeah, he's such a terror on kickoff coverage that he missed an easy tackle on Ringer leading to the Titans' FG on their second drive. He looked pretty impressive falling on his face.

Naw, we still need to give him a few more years so he can reach his "POTENTIAL".

If he goes on IR he's done for the season. He is ineligible for the PUP list because he started training camp on the active roster.
