The flag was thrown for unsportsman like conduct on one Beagle. Why wasn't he thrown out of the game?

Should have been a flag on the Witten hit, that was Helmet to Helmet.

According to AdamJT13 a few weeks ago, hitting helmet to helmet is not illegal except on the QB or a defenceless receiver.

I wish people would take the time to learn the rules. Gets annoying explaining the same thing over and over and over again.

Hamlin was down on the ground and the WR had already tagged him, what part of that is not defenceless?

thats right, but I am pretty sure pulling a players helmet off is a 15yarder

something had to be called there

Never interupt a good mad-on with the facts guys. Hits like that are cheap shots and I hope the league does a better job of making those hits cost a lot than the refs did.

The correct call would have been spearing. That is leading with the top of the head. It probably happened too fast for the refs to see correctly, but I would expect a fine this week. The guys that handle those types of punishments in the league office love to fine DBs for that kind of stuff.

I know... but isn't that what Witten was? He was pretty much catching the pass and a defenseless receiver.

A flag was thrown but it was picked up. The explanation of the call from the ref is that the receiver had both feet on the ground....."didn't make sense, but that was the call"......
