PollDaddy.com Update: With 90 votes in our readers have Rich Ohrnberger and Cedric Dockrey a shade ahead of Lance Louis for the best pro guard prospect without a N.F.L. combine invite. The top two vote-getters will eventually join 2009 All-Combine Snubbed Team, picked by our readers, via Polldaddy.com... The thirteen write-in votes, so far, are for T.J. Lang of Eastern Michigan (seven votes); Tavita Thompson of Oregon State; Cameron Goldberg of Duke; Marlon Davis of Alabama; George Bussey of Louisville; Nick Hennessey of Colgate and Brandon Meyers (TE) of Iowa. We should mention that we fully intend to list Lang as a offensive tackle in our next poll. We might do the same with Hennessey, Thompson and Golberg.

Two days ago Rick Gosselin of the Dallas News did a short feature on ex-Pitt wide receiver Derek Kinder, who was once considered a rising star prior to a devastating 2007 knee injury. Fascinated by Kinder's draft potential, we asked a source close to the former Pitt Panther if he thought Derek might get drafted:
Reply to DD.com: "Derek Kinder is a very talented kid. He has some of the best hands I have seen in a few years and runs very good routes. But one of the things that sets him apart is his toughness and willingness to block down field. If I had to compare him to somebody it would be Hines Ward. Five to ten teams called about Derek prior to his pro day inquiring on his knee and how he would run. Teams felt he was a high 4.5 guy and could sneak into the 7th round at that time. Now after putting up a solid 4.46, I expect him to start getting more interest".

A few days ago we got some pro day info from a very reliable source, who informed us that Duke wide receiver Eron Riley was spectacular at his pro day. However, because our league sources had him running a 4.60 (with a free agent grade) coming into his senior season, we were a bit reluctant to post such wild numbers without confirmation. Yesterday Tony Pauline of SI.com posted similar 40 times (same source?) so we've decided to put forth the times we received. Warning, if accuarate (run on a normal track & correctly hand timed), they are startling for a player who did not get a combine or all-star invite:
Eron Riley (Duke WR)
Height - 6.30
Weight - 206
Vertical- 40"
Broad - 11' 2"
Bench - 13 reps
40 YD - 4.27 was fastest / 4.36 was slowest. No one in attendance had him higher than a 4.36.
Pro Agility - 4.06
LCone - 6.70
*Obviously, we can't give up our sources, but the numbers came from a scout that works for an A.F.C. franchise that has the color blue in their uniform (So it's not the Jets, Bengals, Raiders, ect.).
