2 QBs gone before we are up?

It is always hard to get a good clue who Jerry wants to draft (except when we got Tyron Smith... EVERYONE knew we wanted him) and if nothing else we are in need of a backup QB and a heir to take the starter role when Romo hangs up his cleats. The 49ers at 7 and the Eagles at 13 also need a QB (as well as a few other teams that might be in the market). The Browns seem to be going QB for sure, so what are the chances that either the 49ers or Eagles (or another team) trade up to 1 or 3 and snag one of the QBs before we can?

Very possible, but even of 2 go before I dont think it rules us our. 3 QB's will likely grade out as top 10 talents, and it all depends on what they think of whichever one is there

I am not wanting to draft a QB at #4 anyway. Maybe by some miracle the Titans don't select Tunsil he will fall right into our laps.

If we are gonna pick a QB I want Lynch, so if 2 go before our pick, that bodes well for us Lynch lovers....

I would be very happy with Lynch at 4 as well.

However I do think once all the workouts and interviews are done he winds up the top QB. His combo of arm strength and touch are rare and teams covet that

Does Lynch have that X factor. That pocket presence, reading and sensing the defense, quick read.ect.sct.?

I still say take the top outside pass rusher...or trade down and acquire a top level outside pressure and another pick. Then a top defensive tackle and cornerback would be available in strong positions in the second round.

That, as far as what info fans can get is the guessing game with him. Due to his offense its really not to be on the tape as much, but his apptiude for that will be found out during club interviews when they put plays on the board and question him.

We will probably never be privy to that info

If we determined that he has those needed qualities he might be a good pick
cause he'll have planty of bench time and thats important

Might be tough for the Eagles. They don't have a #2 pick this year after the Chipper traded it for Bradford. And given the foul taste Chip left in their mouths, I wonder if they would really want to give up next year's first, maybe their 3rd this year, and a bunch of other picks for a QB.

I'm hoping the 49ers are willing to trade up to get the qb at 4 and we get an extra 2nd for it.

I agree. Philly doesn't have a lot of trade up ammunition especially since they are signing some of their key players to long term deals. Those guys can't realistically be traded unless they did something really funny in the contract with the guaranteed money. I don't think Howie has a real track record of trading young players regardless.

My guess is they are going to either try to bring Bradford back or they are going to hope like hell Paxton Lynch is there at 13 and then acquire Chase Daniel from KC and let Lynch learn behind him.

Trade down and grab Lynch or Cook. Still get a VERY good player with the other pick. Goff and Wentz aren't worthy of the #4 pick and I hope our FO realizes that.

There could be three quarterbacks gone before the Cowboys pick. Don't rule San Diego out.
