1. Do you think they will do it again? Maybe they've already said and i missed it?

2. What other possition combinations do you guys think would work well enough to make another season of shows worth watching?

I'll be surprised if they don't.

The position we need the most help at is OLine IMO but that would make for a very boring show.

OL vs DL would be good IMO. I'd love to see some sacks and pancake blocks. I'd get twenty guys in there as well.

I've got a question. How much influence, if any, did the Dallas coaches and/or the FO have in cutting and/or keeping people to watch?

BTW, I think Hawkins deserves a shot, too. He and Holley were the best. I also think the DBs are at a distinct disadvantage even though they got it right, IMO.

They worked these smaller guys real hard for "entertainment purposes" but no way could they do it with OL/DL IMO. You couldn't do the long run to the Cotton Bowl, or the treadmill thing or lots of other grueling things with the big boys.

The way coach Joe talked the folks at Spike TV had a lot of say about what went on. I'd bet the coaches and Jerry had very little say because it was about TV ratings for Spike.

What's it going to be then, eh?

I think the ratings were strong enough they would decide to do it again.

I'd like to see linemen as opposed to skill players next time. I have read rumors that they would want to do RB versus LB, neither of which are something we could get any sort of benefit out of other than brand publicity.

What they also might want to do is step up the level of qualification for the participants. If we had some with more camp experience in the NFL and less Arenaball and CFL players, it might actually be worth the hassle and might offset the boredom factor from using non-glamour positions.

I'd love to see RBs and LBs but of course we do not need either. I have been wondering if they would expand 4th and Long to other teams meaning this year just happened to be for Dallas.

No, this was Mike's production company and he's not gonna let this go to another team. This is not Hard Knocks.

Well if Jerry and all didn't have any say I'd be surprised. My guess is Michael discussed the better players with Jerry or someone at some time. But they seemed to have gotten it right IMO. Too bad they couldn't take a look at Hawkins as well. I'd like to see him up against better competition. Hawkins may be a half a step not quick enough for the pros with his size.

To make things more interesting, I wouldn't mind finding some way for a player currently on the Cowboys to compete to keep their position, while the other contestants fight for that spot on the roster. That way, the chances that the winner of the show actually sticks to the roster is much higher.

hopefully this show will never see the light of day ever again. total garbage of a show....The winner, whoever it was will only last three weeks if that in camp, then he's kicked to the curb..

You think the NFLPA would allow that without an objection? i doubt it very much.

Now...if they could only do a "Mascot" competition....that would be good!

Rowdy pisses me off.

I know a few of you believe Holley was the right pick. Maybe he is, only time will tell. IMHO however, I think they cut the two best receivers in the first four weeks. I can see McGann or Swann (maybe both) catching on with someone and just torching us in the future.

BTW, is anyone else wondering how in the hell that lazy POS Jones hung around so long. There is NO WAY someone that lazy can stick with a team in the NFL. I swear, at times I almost thought he wanted to be cut so he wouldn't have to run or do drills anymore.

What I think is that some of those players will get another look from other teams...

I'd be unhappy about losing too, but I don't think anyone would have the heart to set our team on fire...
