I can't believe people still think the 3-4 vs 4-3 distinction matters at all.

How was LB the problem in this game?
Bell got roasted by Goedert on a third down (which, whatever, everyone does) and whiffed on a Swift run that should have given them third and long inside of their own 30, instead of a first down.

It wasn't THE problem, but those guys aren't good.

It matters in terms of size and over a season smaller linebackers get worn down. Secondly it matters when you have a player like Parsons who in my opinion is not being utilised correctly.

They are never in a 43 base defense. All Dallas runs is nickel - it's really all anybody in the NFL runs.

If you say you want bigger LBers, then fine. LVE solves that problem mostly, but the idea that 3-4 vs 4-3 changes anything is wrong.

1) If he is back next year, will he consider a full-time switch to a 3-4 DEF, built around Parsons at OLB? We are wasting his career.
2) Why did he leave the LB position so exposed going into the season?

I would be grateful if someone in the Dallas Media could ask him this?!!
The LB question should be asked of the front office.
We were extremely thin at LB and OL going into the season.
Don't know why this front office is so afraid of free agency???

Playing well doesn't mean stopping every play. Perfection is an impossible standard. The Cowboys actually did a very good job on both Swift & Goedart, and Bell's play has actually been a very pleasant surprise this year. He is the 2nd leading tackler on the team despite not even being a starter and only playing about 50% of the defensive snaps..

lewis used to cover TEs like glue, since his injury hes been horrible, half the time he seems like hes jogging.
Multiple times we had the eagles in 3rd in long for him to give up an easy catch.

i dont think we have the NT nor linebackers to do a 3-4
Mazi Smith and Hankins should be able to do that.
