2. If not, does anybody know why not?

Just to sum it up-Belichick was coaching the Pro Bowl(of course, Thomas was there too). So he pretty much had inside track to buddy with him first.

Remember how we lost Ken Norton to the Niners? Yep-George Seifert was coaching the Pro Bowl that year, and he was able to bond and woo him from there.

Ravens-I believe they let him go b/c they had Jarrett Jackson, an underrated OLB.
