Has this been discussed? B/C I want to see a lot of it. Any combination in any formation would work.

Especially when you can give it to MB3 up the middle and fake to Felix wide and vice versa.

Any combo of Barber and Choice/Felix works for me.

Shotgun should be two backs ( no Crayton) T.O on left, Witten and williams on right, Barber on left, Choice/Jones on right of romo.

And two backs, with bunch right and bunch left witten,t.o,williams.

I like it! Say what you want about that draw play we run 15 times a game; with this set, that draw would either be big money every time or it'd keep the safeties in the box and off of our delicate #1 receiver(s).

...I wonder how long it will be until someone posts "this isn't Madden"

This isn't Madden. Why not just put all three backs on the field at the same time?

Felix Jones in the slot!!!:laugh2:

we had some success with Barber at FB and Jones at HB. I expect as Felix gets more comfortable (not that he wasn't looking very smooth last year) we will see him used like Westbrook is. The only downside to this formation is the D knows that Jones is not going to run up the gut - we aren't going to use Barber as a lead blocker

That's the key. Can Barber become a lead blocker?

I think our base set should be 2 TE's 2 WR's 1 RB. It puts our best talent on the field.

However when we do go 2 backs, Barber at FB has a lot of appeal.

I think Barber has the skill set to be a very good FB. At 6-0 220 it wouldn't appear that way, but you'd have to agree he's just about the strongest 220lb RB your likely to find.

We just have to sell him on it.

Explain to him a plan of equally splitting the RB time between him and Jones.
If he can master the FB position it could get him on the field for an addition 20-30% of our snaps. That in of its self should be enough incentive for him.

Teams that use a feature RB as a lead blocker are stupid.
