That first draft there isn’t bad at all. Avila, Benton, Williams, Palmer, and Whyle are all players that I like.

I've been sayin' they were going with a vet CB for a couple months now... I thought Marcus Peters would have fit great but never really thought that Gilmore would have been so cheap. I love the trade and I think they should sign either Paris Cambell or Slayton at wideout now. That or if they could swing it, one of the Jets wideouts for their other 5th round comp pick.

After this a trade back like these scenarios set up nicely. I think they are going to throw out TE as what their going for in the first, as a smokescreen and try to draft a guard/center in the first so they keep the fifth year option. I really like scenario 1 if they can get a vet wideout before the draft.

They will go CB in the first next year if they don't extend Gilmore after this season.

An often overlooked factor in dealing out of the first is that fifth year option. At certain positions, this is an advantage to the team. At RB, maybe not.

A first round RB either doesn’t perform over his first three seasons, or holds out and demands a new deal. That template has been set.

I’d rather have a guy the team can only tie up for four years (without the heavy tag number), and don’t have the big capital investment in. Less likely to holdout IMO, and very replaceable, while serviceable.

Just flat out can’t pay running backs until they change the rules, which is never happening.

I would take option 1 because i like most the players taken and we keep that 5th year option

Big Mike is serious about running the ball.
I could see him trading down and finding a way to get the big Georgia TE Washington at the top of round 2.
