20 - 6 was the real score IMO

The game absolutely was that close. Offense shouldn't give people confidence. Dak only missed 4 throws and we score 13. Hard to imagine defense can repeat this kind of beat down. Lesser offenses have put up. More than 10 on us.

Listen, no one is being a more obnoxious Cowboys fan than I am today at work...

And no hard feelings; real talk I love you.

But ummm... the score is the score. We should have won by more because we really beat the brakes off of them. But the result is the result.

Agreed. Like Zeke himself said, the D carried them. This, coming from a guy that busted his *** out there. He worked and earned every miserable yard.

Right Nova, I believe the OP was simply saying in truth, the score should have, could have, would have been more. Just some ice cream to go with that cake so to speak...

I rewatched the game. The iffy was bee's knee's (ses what I did there?)

The turnover negated by the offsides was bull. Gregory was not offsides.
Refs missed that facemask on Dak.

Offense controlled that clock.

Take in consideration that im very hard on my boys, but this game showed a ton of promise. Our biggest issue is Daks accuracy on the long ball which he did connect once yesterday. This game showed we can compete.

We can't play down to the opponent. We did this to the #1 team in the league. I'm proud.

Jaylon not called for helmet to helmet. Would have put the Saints inside the 15. Saints not kicking the field goal early was dumb, too.

It was a defensive battle, but Dallas was better.

I considered that too. Honestly we did more to help the saints score than the Saints did.

-7 from the Saints for the offensive PI.
+7 for the boys for the final 2 mins where we kneed for the win.

We did a lot better than the final score. This game wasn't that close.

It should have been. But allowing the Saints to make it THAT close shows that we still have a lot of work to do. We CANNOT beat ourselves and continue to give opposition opportunities to come back. This type of play will haunt us as we play better teams.

Yes and I agree, but even with those mistakes.. we beat them 20 to 6 taking out the missed/bad calls from the refs. This shows it's not a lack of talent.. but perhaps reiterates coaching.

23-6 for me

Gregory's neutral zone infraction call was horse crap, should've been Dallas ball. Now i have no faith they put it in the endzone, but Maher would've nailed what would've been a short FG

People are funny like that. Only thinking of things from their perspective.
Everyone should just take the win and be thrilled...imo

So where in the thread do you read we're not thrilled. There's a big positive from the game beyond the win. Lack to talent is not the issue

One thing I think is positive is we didnt try to change who we are to keep up with the Saints. Unfortunately we still had key giveaways that didnt help us either. I expected more mistakes honestly on Offense with us trying to "keep up"...
