By my count, Dallas has won their last 14 games when they've scored at least 20 points. The defense is as good now as it has been that entire stretch.

Forgetting week 17, there are 3 games to play that matter and then you're at the Superbowl.

We all can see that this is a championship caliber defense that just needs the offense to pull its weight, and that's the amount: 20 points.

Think about it: if this recent history were to hold true, then 4 straight games of 3 touchdowns each and Dallas is looking good to win the Superbowl. Of course, playoffs aren't that simple, but scoring at least 20 ppg for 4 games in this era sure sounds easy.

So be on the lookout for this in the coming weeks: does Dallas get to 20, and does Dallas get there before the opponent.

If the defense doesn't score literally 2 TDs today, we lose to the Bucs...……...statistically one of the worst defenses in the NFL

And folks are talking about going to the SuperBowl:facepalm:

The offense could barely muster 13 points on its own today. The defense got the rest. This offense will be the reason we get eliminated from the playoffs; more specifically, the QB will be the reason we get eliminated.

I think Dak could do it and this offense would transform to at least average if they'd have him run 8-10 times a game.

To be honest I think the magic number to score when Dallas hits the playoffs will be more like 24 points. These are all battle tested teams that can score points and nothing will come easy.

Nor Zeke. 6 rushing TDs is pathetic. Will have to look at the results from yesterday but he at least dropped to 18th in the league in rushing TDs.
Awfully tough to punch it in when everyone knows youre the only threat.

Zeke is ranked 16th in the league in rushing attempts inside the 5 yard line. Hard to put the blame on him for lack of rushing TDs when Linehan would rather run sweeps to Amari or try to pad Dak’s despicable stats at the goal line.

I really WISH I could be happy with the win but I just can't. Yes we won the only stat that really counts, the score, but we got beat in every other statistical category on offense. The 'Boys won't be so lucky in the playoffs. The only NFC team I think we could beat is the Vikings, IF they get in.

It's almost like we're a defensive-minded team or something...

Anyways, the team got over 20 and won, who cares how.

Right, no one is disputing that, however, expecting the D to chip in to reach 20 each week isnt realistic.

I don't expect that and most of the games in that 14 win streak didn't involve a defensive score.

It doesn't matter how Dallas crosses 20, the point is that they win when they do.
