Consensus. Pretty much nothing.

As pointed out, the have a combined snap count of 148 between the both of them.
They will get all the snaps in PS games. But what does that tell us.

The back up QB for the past 10 years, basically has been the Cooper Rush show. Was one comment.

So the FO does not put a high value on developing QB's. Nor spending high round draft picks on QB's.
We all known this, and know it is a huge problem. And it will not get resolved any time soon.

So, with Grier and Milton, I guess the expectation is that, if needed, they could come in and be the "bus driver". That would require that the process be set up for "anyone" to come in and be able to "run" it. But, I think we need to lower that expectation with our back ups.

i expect they will be starting about 8-10 games between the two of them....now how they do is a whole different question

I expect nothing from the backups. I hope we don't have to use them at all...but if we do, I expect nothing. Good performance would be a bonus.

It's obvious the front office doesn't care all that much about the position other than the starter and has very little talent for finding the right guys for that position.

Win us games but not be a STIFF in the pocket like Rush was as our backup

What do you consider to be a ""High Rd."

I’m worried about the backup QB. Is Milton ready or do we need to rely on Grier. So yeah, not expecting much.

My over/under is 2.5 games without Dak.

My expectations for a backup quarterback is that our defense and running game and special teams have his back.

If Dak goes down then my expectations aren't geared towards what the backup can do. It is the support he gets from his teammates by elevating their games.

Neither one of the backups should be expected to make a significant impact on winning. Their job will be to not lose the game by making mistakes and bad decisions.

I expect the QB2 to compete and be ready to perform well when asked to. When not in the game he needs to stay engaged with the game and give feedback to the QB1... observations from the QB2 can help the QB1 immensely.

What i would hope is that our backup qb could go at least .500 until the starter gets back.

Sure, we all know it won't get resolved any time soon, and they went down the same path with Romo. But then injuries forced them into a corner which lead to Dak being drafted. Then they were forced into another corner due to injury and had to put the draftee who was never meant to be a starter into the starting role.

The same thing is repeating itself, except for the draft part. Jerry hasn't drafted a QB since 2020 (Ben DiNucci) and that ended up being a wasted pick. Don't even get started with the Trey Lance fiasco.

Yup.

Big problem.

Both Grier and JM are making league min.
