Same thing that made Jalen nearly win in 2022 (and what ultimately won it for Patrick) and be the front runner for much of 2023 (and what ultimately won it for Lamar): It’s not just about playing well, it’s about seeing your play directly influence the great play of the team.

For Dak to win MVP, the Cowboys as a whole have to be markedly better in 2024 than they were in 2023. Matt Ryan is the only MVP QB since 2005 to not lead his team to the #1 seed that year.

This is it in a nutshell. The #1 seed gives your QB the inside track to the MVP. Regarding Ryan though, didn't Rodgers win it in 2014 without being a #1 seed? They lost in Seattle after beating us in the Dez no-catch Divisional round game.

Some interesting takes and answers.
Check out Eatman's and Daniels's answers, som good info there.

Kind of shows some media love for Jackson from last year.
Mickey stating about winning games against winning teams or lack of, but did not say what Jackson's were, but the running ability for Jackson was the difference in his opinion.
1 clear and simple answer. Play for ANY team.not Dallas!

Yeah that was I said; Aaron Rodgers and Matt Ryan are the only two to not be #1 seeds

Lol. Sure, when it comes to MVP. But if you're talking about having your tackles report as eligible, refs love us and hate everyone else. Or just hate Detroit.

All these awards are good for is that the player uses them to get more money

there is no other value to them

Just another trophy on the shelf to collect dust. However if they get more money from it. They will just pay someone to dust them off.
