Same thing that made Jalen nearly win in 2022 (and what ultimately won it for Patrick) and be the front runner for much of 2023 (and what ultimately won it for Lamar): It’s not just about playing well, it’s about seeing your play directly influence the great play of the team.

For Dak to win MVP, the Cowboys as a whole have to be markedly better in 2024 than they were in 2023. Matt Ryan is the only MVP QB since 2005 to not lead his team to the #1 seed that year.
Lamar was not a MvP candidate all year he came through late and won.

Dak winning an MVP is probably the least important thing to me. Super Bowl wins are where it is at.

Why the obsession with MVP? Lets focus on the basics first. Win a playoff game.
Dak fans couldn't care less about winning playoff games.
They just like seeing Dak hop around in a Cowboys uniform and pretend to be great.

Because until the end of the year, Baltimore did not have the established best record in football.

Mahomes was the front runner until they lost a few games in Nov, then Jalen was the front runner almost solely due to 10-1 until week 14ish, then Dak took over for a week until the Miami-Buffalo games, then Lamar took it.

Lamar’s candidacy was heavily impacted by Philadelphia sinking late, and Baltimore beating the only other 13 win team, SF, on Christmas. Which, not coincidentally, was when his campaign pretty much wrapped it up.

Lamar beating San Fran won it.

No, it hurts us that certain mediots have an agenda to bolster him and propagate him despite what it does to the team.

What agenda is this?
I'm not sure why they do it. Maybe they think Dak's rise is a good storyline for the NFL.
But, more likely it's just mediots that know very little about football and just want to go along with the crowd rather than be called stupid or a hater.
