I believe as on said, his numbers could drop. But he can help the offense more.
He will get more attention from the defense, and possibly doubled or tripled teams. But that opens it up for others including the run game.

However, get the contract done 1st obviously.
We feel the same about Micah and how he gets doubled etc and the expectation is that others will make plays, doesn't always happen that way. His numbers may drop, just as long as they're not dropping drastically and he becomes an injury warrior more than a football warrior

Speaking for myself, I want to see if he can top last year's numbers.

Hopefully, he won't need an encore because his fellow receivers will contribute more. We don't need another thousand yard receiver. Increased contribution from the 3rd receiver and a 2nd TE should suffice.

Last season was a two man show, Lamb and Ferguson. Zeke might not be the power runner he once was but, hopefully, he will compensate for that in pass blocking and receiving.

Last season, the 3rd leading receiver behind Lamb and Ferguson was Pollard by one catch over Cooks.

Schoonmaker, Tolbert, Zeke, and Turpin need to step up the productivity in 2nd tier receiving. We could use a pleasant surprise from a rookie or 2nd year receiver.

I would like to see Lamb with about 100 receptions, no injuries, and fresher for the postseason.

That's a career year he had in my opinion it's not gonna happen again... I still expect him to put up quality numbers but that's way outside of the average for most starting elite wide receivers and it doesn't happen very often in ones career...

So I'm hoping for something around 95 catches 1450 plus yards 12 touchdowns, that's still be a very good production and more inside the expectations of starting wide receiver..

100 :hammer: ... That is also my expectation and it will be a better offense for it... Besides the fact that that's a career year and you're probably not gonna repeat it ever again...

He had approx 120 yards and 10 catches so he showed up......I don't remember him throwing 2 Ints , including a pick 6, in the first half.

Let's keep it 100 here
so he catches balls when it doesn't matter, so lets quote the stats. but those stats don't count for Dak because he did it late in the game and it doesn't matter.

so him dropping two passes killing drives in the first quarter, is OK to you? got it!

Maybe Cee Dee needs to find a way to convince Dak to get his agent to settle for less than what he's demanding. Godspeed with that.

I wouldn't rule out CeeDee having another career year. But anything over 95, 1450, or 12 would be gravy.

I would come on dude the reality of him ever reaching that again would mean he would have to break the NFL record and I would like to see the ball passed around a little bit more I'm not saying go heavy distribution this whole bike committee thing but this team would be better especially getting into bigger games against the better teams that we struggle against being more multifaceted and getting the ball into many more hands including Turpin who could be a weapon behind the line of scrimmage things that Mike McCarthy didn't even know how to use the running back by committee properly last year he forced Tony Pollard into a role he wasn't comfortable IMHO

I believe Mike McCarthy knows this he knows his jobs on the line and we would be better for it to distribute the ball more evenly until you have that game you know the big game if they're watching all this tape and you're going to everybody but when you really need to rely on the guy and you want to feed him the ball 12 times in the game get him close to 200 yards if the game dictates that you do it but you should never go into a season thinking oh we got to get this guy 100+ balls and then force the ball either into your running back's hand like Tony prowler should not have or into your star wide receivers hands you should not do that on a regular basis and I don't believe that's going to be their mindset this year...

There was a level of comfort zone there for Mike McCarthy in his new offense where it got a late start it was behind and they made a conscious decision to just make it the CD lamb show which is fine but I don't think you're going to want to do that this year...

I would love to see a more balanced offense a much better run game that would put the responsibility of Mike McCarthy to figure out the best 3 running backs which by the way I wouldn't count out Nathaniel Pete and some of these other guys like Royce people are just forgetting we have these guys along with zeke and find the best 3 and then figure out in the game in which moments to use them this has to happen you can't just use a guy in the wrong situation because you feel like you need to get him going or he's making too much money so we better feed this guy... I wanna see more balanced offense I wanna see more runs I wanna see more explosive runs not just handing the ball off at 3 yards per carry and then that will open up things for the tight end and yes the wide receivers and I'd rather treat them like wide receiver by committee with lamb getting most of the balls but spread it around until you don't have that opportunity then you force the ball to your stars..

Everything you said is valid. But I still won't rule out CeeDee topping his numbers from last season if he and Dak stay healthy. I said before last season that he could have a 1,600 or 1,700-yard season and got pushback for it. It could happen if for no other reason than them forcing targets to CeeDee to inflate his numbers and justify giving him a new contract. By no means am I predicting CeeDee having a new career-high, all I'm saying is that it CAN happen and we shouldn't be surprised if it did.

He is the best player on offense by a large margin. Lots of plays designed to get him open looks and most teams could not cover him on mid-range routes. I doubt he replicates the numbers-probably best for the rest of the offense to make more strides and be more well rounded. No idea what the running game will be this season.
