Yes, another topic we all discusses before.
Here are 6 writers' answers.
Consensus seems to be Williams or Sanders. But also that is a guess, based on the OTA's, no pads. Just who got most of the 1st teams reps.

And to me week 1 starter does not mean who will end up starting later on.
As they said, TC and PS games will go far as determining who starts.

Even though many fans do not think we have a strong RB group, and I can't blame them. As it will be one of the more position group TC battles, it wil be interesting to see how it unfolds. However, the run games will also be dependent on the OL as well.

As one writer said, no premium draft was use to select a sure fire starter at RB, such as an Emmitt type. That they know who the starter will be.

No clue but it's going to make TC and the PS fun to watch...super excited about that and to see what Milton can do

All I’ve heard is we have an improved run game.

The first 3 posts, 4 including mine, all are in agree that we have no clue who the starter will be.

That doesn’t sound improved to me.

Improved would imply there is a solid RB and a plan. This is shaping up to be another RB by committee year.

RB by committee .........we don't have one
But the way they have treated this position the last 3-4 years is odd.........

If I’m guessing, the guy from Denver or the rookie blue. Unless we pick somebody up during preseason. Well unless we go by committee. Bottom line, not a clue.

I doubt it makes any difference. Unless one of the vets is surprisingly rejuvenated enough to be the feature back, it's likely going to be a lot of committee. I still think the young guys will take over sooner or later.

Here's the thing,

do we need to label a starter RB1??

if they're doing running back by committee there's just a mix who gets the most snaps would be a weekly change by game plan and opponent's defense...

So, we'll see,

but I still don't think we need to label anyone RB1, it's just going to be the running back room and if they're smart they will utilize what I'm talking about week to week, is put the best game plan in and you would then pick who you think you're going to run more that game, how your splits are going to be, is it going to be 2 running backs, 3 running backs ,and how many snaps each they're going to get that week.... And obviously as the game wears on you would know who's got the hot hand and that's who you roll with the rest of the game...

The good thing is I don't believe there's anybody on this team that has seniority there is no Ezekiel Elliott there is no BMOC this running back depth chart is wide open..

If any of them can be James Conner or Dowdle (they finished 11th and 12th in rushing yards last season) the running game will be effective. Having a healthy Prescott and that threat of the passing game will open up things on the ground. The young revamped OL should help as well.

Schotty plans to commit to the running game and having Adams as the OC should help with run play designs.

My pick is Williams as RB1. But, again, I couldn't care less which one it is as long as the OL plays well and the OC is determined to run the ball.

The fact that we have to ask this question 2 years in a row is disappointing.
