Yes much has been discussed about this.

Overshown gets a vote. And another mentions why a LB. That talk of Thompson could be in the mix as a S. And Eventually Downs takes over.
The 3rd eludes to answering it seems. But said Overshown says he is ready for the responsibility.

I think they try different players out during TC. Not so much as a competition. But more as to get different players experience in the new schemes.
But eventually it will be Overshown.

I think it will be Overshown for sure. Dallas will definitely need a back up plan due to his injury history though. Forum, please correct me if I'm wrong, I don't think he has compelted a season staying healthy even going back to his days with the Longhorns. I have always been a big fan and wish him well as he is a tough competitor and a good person. Go Cowboys!

Winters.

Overshown having it will be a disaster and won’t hold up at the mlb spot

Since Overshown was drafted the Dallas Cowboys have played -

51 regular season games and 1 playoff game for a total of 52 games.

Overshown has played 19 of those games since he was drafted in 2023.

How anyone thinks he is the future is beyond me, the kid has had 3 major knee surgeries since high school.

First - Suffered a tibial plateau fracture in his left knee, which required surgical insertion of two screws.
These screws later required a complex removal procedure (2015)

Second - Tore his ACL in his left knee during the preseason (2023)

Third - Tore the ACL, MCL, and PCL in his right knee against the Cincinnati Bengals. (2024)

For training camp mostly Overshown I think but for regular season Fred Warner (why not us)

Just give it to the guy with the highest football IQ and most experience. My vote Thompson.

i keep thinking its going to be caleb downs.
he'll settle things down on that side of the ball and be the best communicator we've had round the ranch in a long while.

Makes sense. As I posted above I forgot about Winters.

With some here thinking the worst for him, I'm going with Overshown being the "Comeback Player of the Year" and will have to miss playing in his first ever Pro-Bowl because he will be playing in the Super Bowl.

I know in this cruel world bad things happen to good people, but I hope and pray his bad luck is over. The dude deserves it.

Has any of these guys shown super fast mental processing at LB? pick that guy please

First off CP already said it WILL be a LBer so I have no idea why anyone is talking about DBs wearing it. Second they already said Overshown gets first crack and also is the MIKE right now. Odd they even have this as a question to write an article about because as of today it isn't. Sure, things could change, but things could change in all aspects of the team so then everything is a question
