Football used to set up the pass with the run game, that has flipped. Play callers now set up the run with the pass.
I go back to what I've been saying, situational play calling is the key, especially if you do not have a dynamic QB. Dak is very good, but not dynamic. KM called played as if Dak was......this is where MM can really help Dak and our entire team.
Keep the defense on the sidelines and call smart plays. IMO
If only Dak were as DYNAMIC as Zeke was? :lmao2::lmao::laugh::lmao::lmao::laugh::lmao2:

From the 6 writers. All have some good opinions.

From Patrik Walker.
The "Texas Coast" offense is shaping up to be much more versatile and unpredictable than any offense McCarthy ran in Green Bay.

It was mentioned that there will be more balance. But I believe many are taking that the wrong way. Balance, as they had some last season, does not meant a 50 / 50 split of run to pass, or close to it.
I think it means more a balance of when the plays are called. We seen how Moore would Run Run Run, then if working go to Pass Pass Pass. He got into a funk of doing too much of one or the other. I think MM mixes that play calling up, to be more balanced within each series.

Of course if the run is working, you stick to it more, same for the pass at times. But Moore did not even do that.
RB depth may not be as shallow as most are expecting when looking at 2 rooks early.
Deuce and Luepke may be rooks, but they are going to be fast tracked in camp, esp with Pollard situation.
They will find out quickly what the backfield looks like and the appropriate time to pull the trigger on a vet.
I wait until the tidal wave of league wide roster trim down.

I saw every play Mike McCarthy called for the Packers. I've heard him speak extensively on his thoughts on play calling for many years, but I was told not to discuss the Packers at all in the Fan Zone, so If I get time I will start a thread about my experience and knowledge with Mike McCarthy and his play calling.

We have another guy who pops in occasionally named MMObserver. He has given us plenty of inside insights detailing MMs tenure at GB.

Oh, inside knowledge and watching OTA's, mini camps first hand possibly.
Maybe he is watching the players at Dak's back 40, or in Atlanta. :muttley:

But good point.

Patrik (No C) has hopefully got it right "versatile and unpredictable". On the point of the run game, that's why we needed and got a TE that specializes in blocking, it allows the run to continue with our RB2/3 (when Pollard's rested)....rather than the predictable, between the hash play Moore relied upon.

Now, why did you have to bring that crap up? People like you can't help yourselves. That's what's pathetic.....
Now get the heck outta here and let it go
I took all your Pollard nonsense for 4 years and your zeke horror.

Why dont you have the same standards for Zeke that you have for Dak? If Dak isnt Mahomes you hate him. If Zeke stumbles around the field for 19 million you love him?

Since there is only a supposed 30 percent change in the offense then 70 percent remains intact.
So Mike will be calling a lot of the same plays based on last year's 70 percent of the offense remaining intact.
My question is when the same results of execution failure occur on those same plays called do we now blame our 3rd playcaller as scapegoat or the guy executing the play?

And please spare me the situational play calling and run game efficiency bull.

Simple. When it happens again, who gets the blame?

You aren't worth my time

..
So in other words you have no point. Just posted today:

He can run effectively and can throw on the run effectively. So what exactly isn't "dynamic" and what exactly was Moore calling that he shouldn't have been?
