we had lots of hope for the future in those years because of how we had ended previous years.

I guess 2015 will just be another.

Not really because Romo has 1 or at best 2 really good years left

I don't know what you expected but lets just be honest no team in the NFL can survive losing their QB and best pass catcher ontop of it, guess what if my Pats lose Brady and Gronk for 6 weeks we're done too.

These guys are all pros for a reason, they just can't be replaced with guys.

I bet they would win some games without Brady and Gronk

not surprised a Patsy cannot recognize reality.
The year after Brady was lost because of Injury and Cassell did OK you guys t hought you would have a great run at the SB that next year with Brady back. What happened? Just like what happened in 2004, 2008, 2010 and now probably 2015: disappointment.

There is no reason to rush Dez back or even play Romo this year. We will have 6 or 7 losses before Romo gets back and we ain't beating GB and Carolina and NYJ and Buffalo. We may split those games. 7-9 or 8-8 doesn't get us anywhere. 3-13 gets us a great draft pick and easier schedule next year for a healthy Romo.

The whole Garrett rebuilding this team is a joke. Without Romo we are one of the worst teams in the league.

How many teams in the NFL do you think would flourish without their starting, Pro Bowl QB? I would think the list is not long.

I saw this coming early in training camp. Jerry and Jason made the same mistake they made in 2010 following a playoff year. They thought all they needed to do was get to the regular season healthy. It backfired then and it backfired this year as well. This team is just as soft as Wade's last team was. I want Jimmy or Parcells type coaches.

But they can at least win some games without their starting qb.

I am almost at the point where I agree with you. But that stupid little spark of hope I still have refuses to extinguish itself.

that's a bunch of baloney. they'd win a couple of games. this team is about to go 2 months without a win.

Im glad there are people out there that understand this..

Take an elite Qb and WR out of any team in the league and see what happens..

Also add Romo and Dez to the Cleveland browns and that team will be competitive week in week out..

It is what it is...

This is just too unfortunate that the Cowboys had to deal with this..
Also remember that this was the toughest part of the schedule..
We had 4 losses against teams with their franchise QBs.. Brady, Brees, Ryan and Eli..
We were competitive in all those games..
If we had our Qb who knows..
But as i said it is what it is..lets hope we still have a chance when Romo returns.

When Romo went out I compared it to the 2013 Packers who lost Rodgers for 8 games and went 2-5-1 in those games but still squeaked into the playoffs.

During that 2-5-1 stretch the Packers looked absolutely like one of the worst teams in the NFL. They were missing Rodgers (broken collarbone), Cobb (broken leg), and Finley (career ending neck injury) on offense.

I thought the Cowboy would find a way to win 2-3 games in this 7 game stretch with Romo out. It's starting to look like 1 win might be realistic...

I know Romo and Dez are out.. if this team is as talents and Superbowl ready as everybody thought it is, it should be pulling at least some of these games out.

IMHO, they are underperforming --even when adjusting for the loss of Romo/Dez.
