Trends - Other than Roth - Rookie QB's did nothing
RB - Jones, Jones best clearly
WR - Clayton and Colbert value picks - outplayed top 10's
DLine - Starks, Allen, Wilfork best value
LB - The 2 Miami LB's prove that LB's in late 1 are best value. See Ray Lewis.
K Dansby value

S - Boulware, Sanders, Coleman outplayed Sean Taylor! :p
CB - Vasher value pick

Our Day 1)
Jones - great pick
Peterman - redshirted
Jacobs - is headed towards a road called Bust. LETS HOPE HE GETS UNLOST.

I was a BIG proponent of Colbert... I even took him in round 3 in the old thecowboys.net mock draft... I wish he had fallen to us...

I watched a few USC Games to see Williams. I walked away saying this Colbert kid was special. He made a leaping 1 handed catch that was out of this world.

Other players I was high on

DJ Williams
Randy Starks
Erik Coleman
Colbert
Wilfork
Dansby

I wasn't so high on Williams... although he is a good player...

I also liked Fitzgerald and Dunta Robinson...

It is way to early to grade a draft yet and looking back is always 20/20, but imagine how our needs would be different if we spent our second and third round picks on Dockett (who had character concerns) and Randy Starks. Both of those guys showed a lot this year. Dockett with production and Starks more with potential. It is way to early to throw in the towel on Peterman and Rogers but it would be nice if we had some young talent on the DL already in place.

If only JJ would have been able to play all season, he would've had serious contention for ROY if he kept up his pace over the last half of the season all season.
