Parcells, Bowles, Lynn, Haley, Sparano, Zimmer, MacIntyre, DeHaven..a real strong group. Pretty depressing compared to the current staff. Shocking that Jerry allowed so many strong personalities.

Who do you think picked that group? It wasn't JJ.

VS
J Jones, Garrett, Linehan, Marinelli, a bunch of open positions, etc

Sounds about right/equal

I like how you pretend JJ wasn't there during the Parcells tenure.

Why does it have to be all or nothing? It is certain that JJ asked Parcells to keep on Zimmer.

I’ve always thought it unfair to say Jerry isn’t a football guy. He’s been around football his entire life. He’s even shown the capacity to “help” put together good coaching staffs when he’s been willing to put his ego aside. Unfortunately, he’s only willing to put his ego aside when he wants something else. For instance, when he bought the team, it was hemorrhaging cash and he needed the ship righted. Then, when he hired Parcells, he was trying to get a stadium built. It’s like Jerry needs a huge distraction to succeed.

It was a good staff. Team finished 9-7 and no playoffs.

Sometimes things other than coaching can affect the outcomes of seasons, it would appear.
