I wouldn't mind getting Troy Williamson. Don't know if we'd have to take him in the 2nd though. The kid it big and fast.

I love the Jackson pick, Im begging to think he'll be the best DB in that comes from this class. But I dont like the Matt Roth pick, if Hawthorne is there at that pick we have to take him.

Anyone know Roth's production this year or seen him much?

The WR from South Carolina is averaging almost 20 ypc  I've read he has 4.3 speed.

The Sooners are expected to have four to six first rounders in the draft. (Kiper) This Mock has OU with 2. Dan Cody in the 2nd round? I just dont see him dropping that far. Id take Dan Cody, Antonio Perkins, D. Nicholson and Lance Mitchell in round two in a heartbeat. That would be outstanding value. Too bad we dont have a couple of 2's as that is where the real value is.

I'm really curious to see where Dusty Dvorcek goes. He has top 15 talent, but had off the field issues. Plus he is from Texas if memory serves me.

This looks to be a pretty dissappointing draft day. Matt Roth is a nice college player but he doesn't really change the face of our defense. Just solid. I'd prefer Cody or a half dozen other guys.

Why would Carolina need another runningback?

Gore won't declare.

I've seen Roth play three or four times........I've seen Mathias Kiwanuka play twice.

I must admit that I've been more impressed with Roth. It seems that he was in the backfield constantly. I know people will harp on his supposed lack of athletic ability......but he was an all-state wrestler in Iowa (where wrestling is HUGE). He showed really good burst I thought. In the game vs Michigan, he was creating havoc quite often.

In the two games I've seen BC play, Kiwi has been invisible. The announcers spoke highly of him, but I never really saw him make plays. Now, maybe the talent on the BC defense had something to do with it. I don't know. Right now, his measurables are impressive. But I think he's more flash than substance. If he can get the athletic ability to translate to the football field, then he'll be a terror.

I really want to see him in a bowl game.

I would definitely like to see Roth on our team. I wouldn't be upset if we drafted him.

Dvoracek got granted another year of NCAA eligibility so he'll probably be back at OU to wreck havoc next year. His off-field issue was that he beat up a guy so badly that it put him in the hospital for a long time. It wasn't drugs or anything else that I know of, just a bad temper and maybe some "performance enhancers." (I'm just guessing about that part)

This would be a horrible draft...it in No way fixes our Dline problems and that is our MAJOR problem. :jints:

It is a horrible draft....I would have taken Spears and Hawthorne (although not entirely convinced about him) in round one and Micheal Boley in round two.

Ideally, I would want Ahmad Brooks instead of Spears with my first pick, and rather take another lineman in round two (Gabe Watson--330lbs beast) to play nose in the 3-4 which I would implore, but that might be asking a bit much.

Sign Jerry Porter, Hartwell and Dyson in the offseason with that type of draft and you have a winner in 2005...provided BP finds a QB not named Vinny of course.

Jackson I like. But taking Matt Roth over Pollack or Hawthorne? Pollack reminds me a lot of Freeney and Hawthorne, while I don't think he's worth a top 15 pick, is a good pick from then on out.
