I'm bored waiting on the NASCAR Race, NBA Basketball, and the Astros games to all start.....so I went back to see who I would have drafted in 2006.

1 - CB Antonio Cromartie
2 - WR Greg Jennings
3 - DE Jason Hatcher
4 - OG Rob Sims
5 - S Pat Watkins
6 - CB Drew Coleman
7 - OT Pat McQuistan
7 - TE/WR Marques Colston

Had we taken Jennings and Colston that year, we would definitely not have a need to draft a WR in 2007 or this year. However, we wouldn't have had Fasano, and we would not have been able to run those 2 TE sets as effectively. But, our 4 WR sets, with TO, Crayton, Jennings, and Colston would have been very sweet to watch.

2007 Draft, I keep all the picks the same, except for maybe 2. Since we drafted Jennings and Colston in 2006, we need not draft Stanback in 2007. Also, because we drafted Cromartie and Coleman in 2006, and have Newman and Henry, I am not sure we draft Ball with that last pick, maybe we go for Bradshaw.

1 - DE Spencer
3 - OT Marten
4 - LB DeOssie
4 - OT Free
6 - K Folk
6 - FB Anderson
7 - CB Brown
7 - CB Ball or RB Ahmad Bradshaw

Once again, no TE drafted. I know we would have Witten and Curtis....I have a feeling since one wasn't drafted in my drafts, that a veteran FA would have been signed.

WOW that's really bored!
I don't know how you wouldn't pick Skyler Green in round 4 though! :)

Biggems, had you drafted the UNLV CB with the 2007 second round pick, maybe CB wouldn't be such a concern right now.

... of course all of this is very easy in hindsight.

hindsight is a fun thing when there is downtime....

btw, if you notice, i kept most of the players the last two years......i have been very pleased with our drafts the last two years, with the exception of Bobby Carpenter, who I never wanted and still don't.

THat's a sweet draft. If only it had went down like that Oh how really nice this upcoming draft would be.
