2006 Season - My Rant

First off, this has to be one of the most disgusting, disappointing, pathetic performances in a big game in Texas Stadium I've seen in a long, long time, and I've been a Cowboy fan for about 38 years. What did we see? Absolute domination on both sides of the ball, no heart, extremely poor preparation by the coaching staff and the players, etc. Right now we have the exact same records we had last year. The difference is that the NFC is so bad this year that we are lucky (or unlucky) enough to make the playoffs. But really, are we any better than we were last year? Our performances don't indicate we're any better. We've been embarrassed three times at home this year, all of which were BIG games. None bigger than today. We have a BIG problem as I see it. 1) I and many other Dallas fans have over-estimated our talent. 2) Our coaching staff does an extremely poor job of preparing the players, scheming for specific teams, and play-calling. Personally, I think it's both, but I put much more blame on the coaching staff. As much as I hate to say this, we need a new coaching staff from the top to the bottom. We will play but ONE game in the playoffs.

There is a lot of blame to go around. Our linebackers never make any plays besides Ware. When is the last time James made a play? This defense is awful. Last year we lose Flozell and the offense goes in the tank. This year its Ellis and the defense is now putrid. How can ONE player on either side of the ball make that much difference? I could go on and on but we all know this team is not that good. Good teams don't get leveled at home like this team has this year. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
