2007 Draft Looking Good

I saw an article about grading drafts too early that said the 2007 Cowboys draft was a warning about grading too early bc everyone gave us an A or B and it is no good.

Well, from 2007 we have 4 starters going into this year ( 3 year mark for a grade)

Spencer
Free
Ball
Anderson

and one former starter and pro bowler in Folk

Sure, we missed in the middle some, but Spencer could be a future pro bowler, Free is a starting LT, Anderson has started for a few years, and Ball is at least a good nickle back with Safety/Corner versatility.

Where's the love?

The way Spencer was playing last year he could carry a B+ Grade by himself.

Add Free as a dominant RT last year filling in and it's hard to argue.

Still too early to tell. As of right now none of those guys have had a full season of starting except Anderson and Spencer and Spencer while started off good and ended the season GREAT. So i'd give them another season to judge it. Right now i'd give it a C+ though. If Spencer does what he did again this season? He'll improve that score by a letter grade by himself.

He got in trouble with the law awhile back for an incident that involved a gun allegedly. Haven't heard any news on this since it happened.

Free is not the answer at LT, he played RT last season.

I bet you end up wrong on this. I think he'll make a fine LT. We've been needing to get quicker and more agile on the o-line and he's a step in that direction.

Free was a LT in colloge and was drafted to be LT in the pros. Last year Free backed up both tackle spots and filled in for a injured Columbo at RT. Where do you get this idea that hes not a LT?

Free allowed pressure, do not drink the Kool-Aid. But he was up against probably the worst possible opponent for his style of play- a tremendous bull rusher with astonishing quickness in Jared Allen. Most of the rushers he will oppose are speed rushers and he should do fine with them.

Go back and watch that minn. game. Free wasn't the problem along the OL.

Honestly, when someone parrot's that crap about how the Vikes game proves Free can't play LT, it just lets everyone know you aren't a very informed fan.

Not to mention Free played right tackle all season, then jumped right into the left tackle role. That's not a very favorable situation for someone to get thrown into.
