Goose has the time to put in at crunch time to find out from sources who's hot and who's not, which teams are hot for certain players, etc.
Funny that he was off base with the Cowboys and Spencer.
However, the guys who sit on ESPN during the draft, guys like Kiper, spend their entire year, their entire careers, studying film and collecting data and getting to know guys.
When it comes to a mock draft or knowing if someone will be a ProBowler or a Bust, Kiper doesn't know any more than anyone else, but it's hard to find someone any better at talking about any kid you name, rounds 1-7 and free agency...he has all the stats, high school and college stats, stories, blah blah blah on the tip of his tongue...that's what makes him unique and interesting, along with his firey personality when he was younger and having TV fights with Polian, etc....he's calmed down a lot as he's gotten older, but he can still spout out tons of information without notes. And it was funny when he could even question some of McShay's comments on those goofy little faceoffs because he also knew everything about McShay's rankings....lol.
