Totally unnecessary nonsense like HBO's Hard Knocks was a primary driving force behind the 2008 team being overhyped. I'm more than glad that's over and done with.

It would also help if they cut down on the mental mistakes...turnovers and penalties. Unlike injuries, this is something that they can actually control.

If they start the season against the Bucs with 2 fumbles lost, 2 interceptions, and 9 offensive penalties, that'll pretty much tell me that they don't care enough to improve.

I dont think we were overhyped. We really were that good. Proof is in the first three games.

We had a key injury, hit a roadblock, and never recovered due to our mentally weak psyche.

But I dont think we were overhyped to start the year. We fully lived up to the hype when healthy, but the second we hit adversity, the wheels feel off. That is the sign of a team with no cohesion, no mental toughness, and no leadership.

But we all loved it and watched all the episodes.

It's a love-hate thing.

I see your point and I certainly think mental toughness was a part of it. But the bigger problem in my mind was that the injuries to Romo, Witten (multiple ones), Adams, Felix Jones, Marion Barber, etc. etc. etc. hampered us all season long. Tony never fully got back to 100% healthy from the broken finger.
