Way to early to draw conclusions, obviously. But how much have your expectations changed regarding this batch of new draft picks and FAs? I've gone from being underwhelmed and not being able to keep the names straight, to thinking this might be one of our strongest drafts in the last 10 years.
It seems like every day, in every player interview, there's a different player getting called out for being exceptional. Today it was Newman talking about how well Hamlin's making the transition. Wade's gone off on both linebackers. Hodge got some attention from DeCamillis during the first OTA. So did McGee. Manny Johnson's gotten good press.
I know it happens every year that there are draft picks who get a lot of attention and in a lot of ways this is par for the course, but it does seem to me like the vets in particular are pretty impressed with this group. Anybody else see it this way, or am I just falling for the old offseason ball-fake again?
