Damn fine WR from Texas Tech. The guy knows what to do with the ball once he makes the catch.

Yea they said he didn't play WR till he came to college WTH

Most of the time I would shy away from a WR playing in a system like the one Crabtree plays for at Texas Tech but at 6'03" and a 4.45 40 time I admit I like him and think he is more than just a product of the system he plays in.

Its the same system Danny Amendola played in. It's very pass happy though. Some what like Hawaii.

Have you heard of Michael Crabtree?

If we are picking at or near the end of Rd1 (we better be!) than Crabtree is gone.

This year was a very good WR draft year but lacked what most thought was 1st round talent. But then the flood gates opened in Rd2...so the class was pretty loaded. I bet 8-9 WRs end up starting (in 3 wr sets) from this year's class by next season. Hell, Josh Morgan looks great and he went in the 6th round.

I know and as I said for the most part I would shy away from run and gun or run and shoot WR because most college defenses do not see this that often and because of that they tend to put up the big numbers compared to a more conventional offense. Crabtree size and speed is a big reason I look at him as somewhat of an exception to the rule

no more players from Ohio State.....I just find the Big Ten to be very overrated....give me the SEC all night and day

I feel the same about the PAC-10.

Overrated.

Just ask Hos. :D

I think looking at our roster now, Jerry Jones needs to start thinking of the future. T. Owens isn't going to play forever and I think finding another impact receiver in the draft that has the potential to be a "Terrel Owens" type receiver is what we need to start looking for early. Jerry should know it took him forever to find a replacement for Troy Aikman, and probably wishes he already had his replacement on the roster before he retired. Receivers take time to develop anyway. We may have a future number one receiver in Stanback or Austin, but they were not big investments. Spending a high draft pick on a talented proven wide receiver in college just increases our odds of finding the next TO.

Next years draft is too far away for me to care about. I'm worried about our needs NOW. Injuries, free agency and possible coaching changes are in our future so who knows what we need.

I agree it is WAY too far away. But why bother reply to the thread if you have no interest in the topic?

Regarding Crabtree. A year before last years draft DeSean Jackson was in the top 10 in most mock drafts. One year can make a huge difference. I'm hoping Crabtree drops, unless he goes to the combine and puts on a show like Calvin Johnson.

Jerry showed interest in Johnson, and the Lions wanted Witten and a 1st. So don't be surprised if he makes a play for a big play WR - so he can finally make amends for passing on Randy Moss.

Thats true but the numbers he put up his freshman year were crazy. He prob wont have another season like that but I would find it hard to believe he would drop as far as Desean did.

I thought Crabtree had to play this year and one more....he was a freshman last year

I know he red shirted, didn't know if he had to stick around an extra year.

Offensive Line, RT and LG(I have a feeling Columbo will be let go)
Inside Linebacker(Thomas is 105 years old and we have no depth)
Safety(Roy, I'm sorry man, but you will be cut)
Wide Receiver(Skilled receiver, the heir apparant to Terrell Owens)
Defensive End(If Spears doesn't improve, we will need to look here)
