with the release of Brewster there are even more articles and gnashing of teeth about the lack of success of this draft.
The question I have is: why is everyone so surprised?
I once read about the percentages of players sticking on an nfl roster 2-3 years after they were drafted according to the round they were drafted in
The third round was surprisingly low...in the 30's I beleive and then the percentages dropped from there as the rounds progressed
We had a draft that consisted of 3rd to 7th round picks with the accompanying historical success rates.
Its no wonder there are few survivors on our roster
You can argue the successful teams find those later round gems and I cant disagree....look at the Patriots although havent taken the time to analyze their roster.
Add in the fickle nature of the draft from year to year with regards to quality depth after the first two rounds and its a crap shoot
I can move on if RW keeps up his early production and is essentially our first round pick
