Okay, the non-Cowboys bold prediction thread has been closed and will be brought back at the end of the season to see how well everyone predicted.

Now it is time to make three predictions about the Cowboys (and only about the Cowboys) for the 2009/2010 season.

You do not have to make bold predictions in this thread, but please try to be more creative and add at least one or two predictions that do not involve season win/loss record, ??? player of the year or MVP, stat leaders, playoff wins/losses, the super bowl or coaching changes.

*** Any posts that violate these rules will be deleted or edited! ***

Guidelines
  • Your predictions must be about the Cowboys and ONLY about the Cowboys.
  • You can make positive or negative predictions but please do not include insults or added commentary.
  • Do not make more than one post in this thread. This is not a discussion thread! It is a prediction thread.
  • Do not make more than 3 predictions! You can make less predictions if you like but do not make more than 3 and that includes trying to get around this by combining predictions.

We will lock this thread soon and then after the season is over, we will re-sticky it to see which predictions panned out.

My three Cowboys predictions are:

1) The Cowboys will win a playoff game as a wildcard team and perhaps more.

2) Ogletree will start at least 3 games this season as the second receiver due to other player injuries.

3) .. coming soon ..

1) The Cowboys will go undefeated in the division.

2) Tony Romo will be the last starting QB in the league to throw an interception.

3) Ware will have 24 sacks by the end of the season.

1) ESPN will attempt to spin Roy Williams' innocuous comments regarding the lack of passes being thrown his way into a huge story/distraction.

2) Orlando Scandrick will own the RCB job by Week 8 at the very latest.

3) We'll start off 5-0 in the division, wrapping up the division title and a 1st round bye Week 16 in Washington. Philly beats us in the meaningless regular season finale.

1. The odds will shift in the Cowboys favor; they will lead the league in turnovers.
2. The Cowboys will lead the league in red zone TD%.
3. Despite getting the playoff monkey off his back, Wade Phillips will find himself caught up in Jerry's dilemma of handing the reigns over to Garrett. Jones will privately ask Phillips to retire but find the coach not so soft and cuddly when it comes to giving up his job. The controversy will dominate offseason talk about the Cowboys.

ESPN and/or NFLN will make a big story about the two-TE-set (the "Wildcat" of 2009) and other teams will increase their use of it after Dallas's success.

TNew will be top 3 in the league in punt return yds/attempt.

Beuhler will have one FG attempt during the season.

1. Orlando Scandrick is the best corner on the team all season and has a pro bowl season, but misses out since people still have no idea who he is
2. Keith Brooking is injured by week 5 and plays very little afterwards
3. Felix Jones leads the team in carries, yards, and TDs.

#1 - Not a single punt during a game will hit the scoreboard despite Joe Bucks over-infatuation with it during each and every Dallas game he covers this year.

#2 - Dallas' only losses this year will come from within the division.

#3 - RW will not lead the Cowboys in receptions this year.
