I would love to have a stud at NT so we can move Ratliff to DE.

Don't know much about the guy from BC but I didn't pay much attention to college ball this year.

Raji would be a great pickup, but we'll have to move up to get him.

His line mate, Ron Brace, is almost as good.

I would hope Dallas at least in some situation would continue to use Ratliff at NT because the pressure he brings up the middle in passing situations was big. I think we have the players to bring pressure from the outside but Ratliffs play up the middle I would hate to lose that.

We have a draft section for mock drafts, but I like your picks.

I would rather have a ball-hawking, playmaker, at Safety than a NT.

There is no automatic guarentee that Ratlif would make a great DE just because he played so well at NT. It takes a different skill set and he would be going against different players, type of players.

Can't stand this! Talking draft in January clearly demonstrates a defeatist attitiude!

Oh wait, we aren't in the playoffs. Carry on.

Who else would you draft with our additional picks in the 4th and 5th rounds we got from Detroit and Tennessee?

I like the way you think garyv!!

We need more big uglies that can win the battles in the trenches... OL and DL

I agree wholeheartedly!

This team is loaded with 'skill position' players and needs to get tougher in the trenches.

I'd like to finally get a true nose tackle and move Ratliff to the DE spot soon to be vacated by Chris Canty (in my opinion).

the more i think about the draft and everything with the offseason, i'm getting more and more off of the glamour players that i would like.

i've determined that i just want us to get some young guys that will just play their butts off every play and leave everything on the field. those guys have been found in the early rounds (aka Demarcus ware or a Patrick Willis), and they can be found in the late rounds (Ratliff).

bottom line is i've been one in the past to focus on the "names" in the draft, but that was before i watched this team fall apart...and we just need guys who go out and play, who want to earn their paychecks on the field. we need more of the Ratliffs & Choices.

there's my rant for the day.

on a side note i do like your mock, though i think we need an ILB in there also.

I like Herman Johnson and Johnathon Luigs in the 2nd round too. Gimme linemen, offensive or defensive, in rounds two and three.

Big Herman's running under the draft radar of some fans right now. He's going to perk up a few folks when the Combine rolls around.

Am I the only one who thinks we should draft a QB?

We don't need to make any drastic moves and go after the Texas kid or the Oklahoma kid. I'm not saying that. Nor am I saying that I don't believe in Tony Romo. I truly believe that with a little "Holmgrenizing", that Romo could very well get us to the promised land, so don't lose your mind now.

But just in case?

We "sorta', kinda', probably" know about Romo, and should give him every opportunity over at least the next two seasons to pull it off. He deserves, by not only his brief tenure, but by the merit of his good play, to be allowed every benefit of the doubt. And I sincerely hope he arrives at that "last level", because that's all I think he's away...........just the next level.

However, our backup QB situation is one of the weakest backup situations on this team. We got Romo, and then what? A 1-6 record in his absence, that's what!! I say bring a kid in who played well in college, shows some pro ability, and let him do a "Romo" for a couple years while we're waiting this Romo thing out......................
