Max Unger. Seachickens 2nd round pick, the guy we should have taken. C. Several were calling for him on the boards, not a secret.Checking that link, that Top 10 in 2009 is about as brutal as I can ever remember seeing.
Jason Smith, Tyson Jackson, Curry, Sanchize, and DHB are all colossal busts. Not even like OK starters, like backup level or sub-NFL level players.
Crabtree and Andre Smith put in some workmanlike starter years. BJ Raji was a stud for 2 minutes and then fell off hard. The only guys who really justified their picks were Eugene Monroe and Stafford.
Derek Cox wasn't bad. Vance Walker. Sean Smith. Louis Vazquez. Kenny Britt. Andy Levitre. Sammie Hill. Jason McCourty. Terrance Knighton. Roy Miller. Vontae Davis. Greg Toler. Arian Foster(UFA). Brian Cushing. Steve McClendon(UFA). Alex Mack. Desmond Bryant(UFA). Paul Kruger. Michael Johnson. Michael Oher. Ladarius Webb. Sebastian Vollmer. Brian Hartline. Mike Wallace. Chris Clemons. Kraig Urbick. Eric Wood. Jairus Byrd. Alex Boone(UFA). Jared Cook. James Laurinitis. Reggie Walker(UFA). Demar Dotson(UFA). Keenan Lewis. Malcolm Jenkins. William Moore. Phil Loadholdt. Jamarca Sanford. TJ Lang. Brad Jones. Brandon Pettigrew. Deandre Levy. Louis Delmas. Glover Quinn. Matt Slauson. Henry Melton. Orakpo. James Casey. Jeremy Maclin. Connor Barwin. Patrick Chung. Will Beatty. Hakeem Nicks.
There are a ton more good/useful players from the 09 draft than you guys are remembering. Me too.
When you have a GM who sucks at player evaluations, the chances of finding them are next to zero. Hades, if we just take Unger in the 2nd instead of trading back, that alone would've made for a decent draft, and then we wouldn't have had to watch Costa coasting backward at the snap.
