The new starters we brought in have worked out wonders for us.

And its because coaches brought in players that weren't over the hill and needing a place to play, but that they had good experience with in the past.

Igor Olshansky, Keith Brooking, Gerald Sensabaugh.

And I think we expect too much from our rookies. I mean obviously David Buehler turned out to be a great investment, I know I didn't want two kickers, but it has really worked out, so I'll eat crow on that one.

But as Mike Jenkins and Orlando Scandrick are showing (and they still need to improve obviously), you got to give rookies time.

2006 we can call a near bust. Bobby Carpenter is still improving though. And I just think that another year at the same position, he can only get better, stronger and more physical. Pat Watkins is really starting to prove us wrong too. Think we should have kept Fasano though. Would rather have him than Phillips.

I think looking back as far as the 07 Draft, we're starting to see results. Spencer is probably 2-3 games away from breaking out, and when he does I think our defense will finally become what it needs to. Especially with the improvements in the secondary.

I think we can agree that 2008 was a great draft especially if Martellus Bennett turns into the tight end we think he can be. But that was 5 great picks in one year. It helps to have to first round draft picks, and have a great steal in the 4th and 5th rounds in choice and scandrick.

2009 is what im asking you guys to wait on.

Our depth at linebacker is going to be A LOT stronger in the next couple years because of this draft. Jason Williams, Victor Butler, Brandon Williams, and Stephen Hodge and our offensive line might have some potential when you combine a healthy Brewster with Free, and maybe some 2010 draft picks.

I think in a year or two you can let McGee takeover the backup role from Kitna. How long did we sign Kitna for a year or was it more?

On defense the only thing we need to focus on is solidifying our secondary (maybe replacing hamlin), and making sure our defense line is straight for the future.

I still think we can dedicate our first round draft pick on a receiver next year despite what Jerry said right now.

Maybe grades wasn't the right word, I'm just saying a lot of these drafts we've thought were horrible, have turned out pretty well for us, especially recently.
