We will not draft a Kicker. Mark it down, book it, whatever you do. No matter who you put in Mock Drafts or who you like, a Kicker is not happening.

1. We already have hired Boniol to work with Buehler.

2. We signed a Kicker for competition who claims he beat out Suisham in their earlier workouts, but because he didn't have game experience he wasn't signed.

3. We only have 6 draft picks and there are probably 8 roster spots up for grabs.

4. There are veteran Kickers as fall backs. (Feely, Stover, or Graham plus Suisham.)

5. We can bring in UDFAs if need be but I doubt we will. If we do it will be the kid from the CFL.

6. No way we take extra Kickers to Camp and encroach on an 85 man roster.

7. There isn't a Kicker in the same class as Folk or Crosby, and we do not need a Kickoff Specialist any more.

Buehler wins the job, Hughes is the FG Kicker, they go get a vet, or they sign the kid from the CFL.

But no one in the Draft.

We could always trade Choice for a kicker.

Oh Yeah! I remember someone telling me last year there was no way the cowboys would take 12 players in the draft. I say otherwise!

1. First, I think the Cowboys will see how buehler and connor hughes do kicking field goals in OTA in March and April.

2. From what I heard, Beuhler cant do it.

3. So, mark it down, I say that the kicker Tiffin from Alabama or the kicker from texas, the cowboys will draft or sign as a undrafted player, but they will take a kicker.

4. Why, who did Boinoil teach in his kicking camps, Tiffin.

5. Mark it down we will one way or another take a kicker either during the draft or after the draft as undrafted kicker.

I agree with Cowboy Joe on this one...

Mostly just wondering how many times you need to tell people you had us picking 12 people in last year's draft? I think you've now reached 27 times you've thumped your chest about it. I really don't think anyone cares.

Lol, I know I don't. Too many people thump their chests around here. It doesn't matter about the huge pile of crap on the ground at the base of the wall, it's that one corn-laden piece that stuck that defines their credibility the following year.

I do actually. CJ is a legend.

But I agree we will not be draft a kicker, I do hope hunter lawrence out of Texas goes undrafted and we bring him in though or the buehler wins it.

You must not read the forum much. I kid, I kid. I like cowboyjoe because he posts alot of articles etc., however, let's not equate that to legend status or more knowledgable just yet.

Sure, at one time joe said we should take 11 guys or whatever; at one point he also said that he could see Jerry packaging picks and moving up in the 2nd/3rd rounds to get quality guys rather than quantity. So he covered his bases and gets to thump his chest this year like he knew it all along.

This isn't to single joe out, I get sick of everyone doing it. They'll list a hundred guys before the draft and then when one does well in the pros say they were fans all along with no mention of the other 99 guys that failed.

I hate how everyone ****s on kickers, happens virtually everywhere involving football.

I feel like im the only one who respects them, if they asked (im taking a random name here) DeMarcus Ware to go out there and play HB for a down, could he do it? sure maybe not great but he good do it. If they asked him to go out and try to make a catch as a WR/TE could he do it? sure he could try and succeed, if they asked him to block could he do it? Possibly

but if they asked him to kick a extra point? he probely wouldnt even get it off the ground. Kicker is quite the hard position to play.

Between this and the Mission II thread, I believe there is sufficient proof that Tom Cruise has secretly won over your affections!
