Seems like were going to get by with duct tape at safety this year. Taylor Mays is being hyped up as an absolute freak. 6'3" 225, great speed, no fear.

Its early, guys can drop but he looks like a top 5 pick worth trading up for. Depending on the cap situation and CBA ect.

Theres also this elephant in the room known as Flozell. I never would of re-signed him, and at worst I would of started grooming his replacement already. Russel Chung(OK) st.) Trent Williams(OK)

Also, I wouldnt be shocked if were talking about a speedy WR all over again. (Brandon Lafell-LSU)

Correct me if im wrong, but it looks like were w/o a 5th(Holland) but we should have an extra 3rd(Canty)

I'm the biggest Taylor Mays fan around but if Eric Berry from Tennessee is available you take him.

Who knows what "rules" we will be playing by next year. If there is no CBA and we go uncapped maybe Jerry goes George Steinbrenner and buys some major talent (like Marcus McNeill)

Free Agency will have a much bigger impact on our team next season either way... by my count DeMarcus Ware, Greg Ellis, Marcus Spears, Jason Hatcher, Stephen Bowen, Gerald Sensabaugh, Sam Hurd, Miles Austin, Montrae Holland, and Cory Proctor will all be UFA's. That's 10 of our 22 2-Deep. Hopefully Jerry can utilize our leftover cap room this year to get some of these guys signed before next off-season.

Why we didnt trade for more picks this season is beyond me.

Much deeper draft in 10 than this year.

Whats the cap hit on cutting Flo? Most of the top LT's are good to go from day 1.

If we are using the same cap rules we have now, Flozell will have a 2010 Cap hit of around $7,170,000. Releasing him would be a cap hit of approx $8,680,000 which means it would take up an additional $1,510,000 of cap room to cut him. If we are uncapped I fully expect Jerry to cut ties with Flozell.

If I could find posts from a year ago today, I can almost guarantee that we could fill in "Taylor Mays" and "Eric Berry" with "William Moore" on the posts above.

Let's say we give it a year.

Myron Rolle baby

Myron Rolle is terrible. One of the most over hyped players in the country. He should stay at Oxford and become a doctor.

DeMarcus Ware isn't going anywhere, Greg Ellis might be gone this year, and Sensabaugh is going to get the "test-year" like Ken Hamlin did. He might not be here next season either, especially if one or two of these rookies really step up.

Good player, however, this is the much better fit for us--trust me.

17 - Kam Chancellor Position: Free Safety

Class: Junior
Height: 6' 4"
Weight: 224 lbs.
High School: Maury
Hometown: Norfolk, Va. :star:

A highly talented player who finds himself in a new position for the third consecutive season ... Made a smooth transition from rover - where he started every game in 2007 - to free safety during spring practice ... Provides a bigger, stronger and faster presence at the position ... One of the hardest hitters on the Tech squad ... Became a leader during the offseason and spring workouts ... Saw playing time at cornerback as a true freshman in 2006 ... Moved into the starting lineup at the rover position prior to last season ... Went through some ups and downs while adjusting, but got better with every game ... Ranked fourth on the team in tackles with 79 ... Has everything it takes to be a difference maker this fall.

Myron had to do everything on that FSU defense with the young secondary ..... did he have bad games ?? sure ... but for the most part he flew around the ball and made the tackle.

Is he the best fit for us in 2010... maybe , maybe not .. but to say he is horrible is comical.
