I won't get a good night of sleep until Ware has a contract in hand. We can't afford to hold off with this and wait until next off-season. Something must be done before the season starts in my opinion.

OL

Pat McQuistan - I see him signing a one year deal.
Cory Procter - Gone
Montrae Holland - He should sign a one year deal at least

DE
Json Hatcher He'll be resigned unless we get in a bidding war
Steven Bowen - Up in the air

NT
Junior Siavii - If he plays well when Ratliff is resting he'll be back

LB
Demarcus Ware - 70 mil at least

CB
Alan Ball -Don't know what to think about him. He hasn't shown much. He might not make it out of TC.
S
Sensabaugh - He'll be back
Pat Watkins - Probably won't make it out of camp

For those who think Proctor is going to be gone, you might want to think again.

The team offered him a new contract this year, if I remember correctly.

While I think he should be gone, I wouldn't scratch him off yet.

Not even Ware?

Overrated.

People say he's the best defender in the NFL. He's maybe like the 2nd best.

We didn't really offer him a new contract, only guaranteed that we'd keep him through TC by giving him a high RFA tender (it was either 2nd round tender or no compensation for losing him). I personally, think he's staying since we've done sweet FA to find a backup center.

Columbo and Davis are lobbying for him so they can keep the band together. :D

Second best to who?

Right now, I'd likely give it to Ed Reed. But that's more because of his body of work.

Of course, anyone with a lick of a sense of humor could see I was joking about resigning him.

I never mentioned about not resigning him.

Well we are signing Marcus McNeill or Vince Wilfork in 2010 after we win the ship this year, so we'll be in good shape for the next 5-6 years.

McNeill has a back (or is it neck?) problem that is a time bomb. I hope we stay far away from him-we never have any luck there.

Alright. Vince Wilfork it is.

I think what that list shows is that besides Ware, there is not much else. With no cap or at worst, cap going up and dead $$ off the books, I see Jerry making a big splash. 2010 will be the exciting year, not necessarily this one.

Next offseason will be a fireworks show. I think we let Spears and Bowen go and splurge on some big FA's. No way Jerry sits still 2 years in a row. Expect a Yankee type offseason for the boys next year.
